Many of the most fundamental forces in nature are dependent of the relative distance between points. The applications of geometric probability techniques to the probability distribution of distances in a layered sphere was studied. Through the use of geometric probability techniques an analysis of a two layered sphere was performed. Using Overhauser’s method, the probability density function was determined for a layered sphere. The research compares the derived probability density function to a Monte Carlo simulation and found that the derived function agrees with the simulation.
