Gradually, the study of the landscape became a core topic of enviromental studies, due to its interdisciplinary research methods, integrating both natural and socio-economic data. The goal of the study is to quantify the structural evolution of Bistrita subcarpathian valley landscape, by using several GIS applications, having an important role in highlighting its functionality. The applications were realized for the extended area limit of Bistrita subcarpathian valley, which presents a complex landscape morphology, with features ranging from forested mountains to densely populated lowlands. The analysis was based on the two land cover maps resulted from the extraction of the spatial …
The Usage Of Natural Fertilizers - A Practice That Favors The Ecological Agriculture Development In Romania, Andreea Ghiurcă, Andreea Lămășanu, Florin C. Mihai
The Usage Of Natural Fertilizers - A Practice That Favors The Ecological Agriculture Development In Romania, Andreea Ghiurcă, Andreea Lămășanu, Florin C. Mihai

Natural fertilizers were used in agriculture since ancient times and are still the best method of soil fertilization. Traditional agriculture, practiced in rural areas of Romania, contributes to the maintenance of soils fertilization ecological practices. Our research shows the evolution of the quantity of natural fertilizers used in the past 20 years at the national level and at the level of NeamŃ County captures the evolution over the seven years of natural fertilizers areas. In the analyzed period, the quantity of natural fertilizers on agricultural land is growing, but fertilized land record low values, showing that it has increased the …
Anthropogenic Landform Modeling Using Gis Techniques Case Study: Vrancea Region, Adrian Ursu, Dan A. Chelaru, Florin C. Mihai
Anthropogenic Landform Modeling Using Gis Techniques Case Study: Vrancea Region, Adrian Ursu, Dan A. Chelaru, Florin C. Mihai

Anthropogenic landforms are the result of significant changes in the Earth's crust due to technological development of human society, guided by its economic, social and cultural needs. nthropogenic landforms of the studied area was analyzed using GIS techniques at the general scale, conducting the entire study area maps, and detailed modeling of representative samples in detail. Representing the anthropogenic landforms on the digital elevation model can be very important in studying natural hazards, such as hydrological modeling on flood plains, which could influence the direction of the flood wave. The digital elevation model (DEM) made by traditional methods can not …
