Water demand is an ever-growing concern for many municipalities around the world and understanding the driving forces of demand is critical to ensure sustainability. The goal of this research was to develop mechanistic models of urban water demand that could be used as decision support tools for regional water managers. This Dissertation research focused on modeling water consumption in El Paso, Texas at the daily and annual time scale for use in a long-term forecast.
