This paper is designed to expose vulnerabilities within the US electoral system, the use of cyberspace to exploit weaknesses within the information assurance strategies of the democratic and republican party organizations, and deficiencies within the social media communications and voting machine exploits. A brief history of discriminatory practices in voting rights and voting access will be set as the foundation for the argument that the system is vulnerable in the cyber age, and the need for reform at the local, state and national levels will be emphasized. This article describes the implementation of the American Indian mHealth Smoking Dependence Study focusing on the differences between what was written in the grant application compared to what happened in reality. The study was designed to evaluate a multicomponent intervention involving 256 participants randomly assigned to one of 15 groups. Participants received either a minimal or an intense level of four intervention components: (1) nicotine replacement therapy, (2) precessation counseling, (3) cessation counseling, and (4) mHealth text messaging. Medication non-adherence in seniors can lead to severe health complications, including morbidity, mortality and decreased quality of life. In view of ageing populations worldwide, there is significant interest among the healthcare sector and researchers to improve medication adherence rates for seniors. However, existing studies in the literature focus primarily on identifying the predictors of medication non-adherence. In this paper, we present our work on technology-enabled medication adherence for 24 community-dwelling seniors over a period of more than 2 years. 30% of US internet users 18-29 use dating apps to find partners. Meanwhile, only 9% of adults with autism are married—and there are no popular dating apps designed for ASDs. We propose the app Connection, a dating app designed for the autistic community. Using queries and informal analysis, we created possible features and prototype displays for Connection to show its future application.

VR technologies immerses a user inside an imaginary environment. While immersed, the user cannot see the real world around them. In contrast, AR allows the user to see the real world, with virtual objects and information intertwined. Therefore, AR supplements reality and enhances the things we see, hear, and feel. WorkoutBuddy is a proof of concept (POC) for an iPhone and Apple Watch application to improve safety during outdoor workouts by providing a virtual buddy system. To use the application, a user first sets their planned route for an outdoor workout using a map on their iPhone. Then, during the workout, the application uses the cell phone and GPS capability of the Apple Watch Series 3 to record location data, share it with the user’s iPhone, and check whether the user has stayed on their planned route.
