Derivation Of Direct Explicit Integrators Of Rk Type For Solving Class Of Seventh-Order Ordinary Differential Equations, Mohammed S. Mechee, Jawad K. Mshachal

Karbala International Journal of Modern Science

The main contribution of this work is the development of direct explicit methods of Runge-Kutta (RK) type for solving class of seventh-order ordinary differential equations (ODEs) to improve computational efficiency. For this purpose, we have generalized RK, RKN, RKD, RKT, RKFD and RKM methods for solving class of first-, second-, third-, fourth-, and fifth-order ODEs. Using Taylor expansion approach, we have derived the algebraic equations of the order conditions for the proposed RKM integrators up to the tenth-order. Based on these order conditions, two RKM methods of fifth- and sixth-order with four- and five-stage are derived. The zero stability of …

Age-Invariant Face Recognition Using Trigonometric Central Features, Ahmad Malek Bilal, Mohamad-Bassam Kurdy Ph.D

Karbala International Journal of Modern Science

Many facial recognition systems must fail because of many influences such as lighting, changes in composition, expression and aging in the face. But the effects of facial aging are the main problem that many algorithms face with precision. Accordingly, this work provides a model based on the extraction of a number of trigonometric features. The proposed model includes three areas connecting and surrounding the main facial features. In addition, aging is recognized by calculating the trigonometric zones extracted. The system compares the query face with the database. Then, the query image is extracted from the original face image. Next, the …

A New Approach To The Potential Energy Of Solids, Radhika Chauhan, Sanjeev K. Verma, Anushri Gupta, Anita Kumari, B. D. Indu

Karbala International Journal of Modern Science

A general theory is developed to investigate the expression for potential energy without using (i) empirical results and (ii) process of parameterizing. The simple approach of thermodynamics is adopted to obtain the expressions for the interaction energy of solids in terms of interatomic separation and crystal volume. The new findings have been applied to obtain the expressions for bulk modulus and pressure. The variation of the potential energy function, which provides a means to understand the stability of a crystal has been found in excellent agreements to the earlier results. The use of obtained harmonic and anharmonic force constants may …

About One Approach To Implementing Semantic Search, Murtadha Rasol, Jamal Challab, Adnan Al-Saeedi Mar 2019

About One Approach To Implementing Semantic Search, Murtadha Rasol, Jamal Challab, Adnan Al-Saeedi

Karbala International Journal of Modern Science

Traditional search mechanisms are based on the keyword search, which does not consider the semantic links between different concepts. This leads to the loss of relevant documents due to inaccurate query formulation or using contextually close words and concepts in the query. To solve the problems of formulating user queries and interdisciplinarity of concepts, it is suggested to use semantic search. The proposed method for implementing semantic search is applicable to large scopes of text data and is based on using a genetic algorithm. Unlike standard methods for information search, the suggested method allows us to consider the semantics of …

An Imperceptible & Robust Digital Image Watermarking Scheme Based On Dwt, Entropy And Neural Network, M Saiful Islam, Muhammad Ahsan Ullah, Jitu Prakash Dhar

Karbala International Journal of Modern Science

Due to the unlawful manipulation and image processing attacks, the copyright protection of digital image is paid more and more attention. This paper proposes a digital image watermarking technique to protect image authentication based on discrete wavelet transform (DWT), entropy and neural network. Firstly, the DWT is used to divide the host image and the watermark image into frequency sub-bands. Then, the entropy of each frequency sub-band is calculated to find the maximum entropy sub-band in order to embed the highest entropy sub-band of the watermark image into the highest entropy sub-band of the host image. Finally, the neural network …
