The main purpose of this project is to develop new functionalities for the exisiting Solicitation Management System (SMS) to support Office of Technology Transfer and Commercialization (OTTC), California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) and Center for the Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT), San Diego State University (SDSU) for the 2008 solicitation on 28 January 2008 to improve its reporting capabilities and support the new functional requirements. The new functions include uploading announcements, instructions and proposal templates. Moops is a PHP/MySQL based web application designed to provide the students taking the CSCI655 graduate software engineering course at CSUSB with an intuitive, easy to use tool to implement the Personal Software Process (PSP). A Multiprocessor Parallel Approach To Bit-Parallel Approximate String Matching, Elias Anwar Chibli

The purpose of this project is to present with empirical results that a parallel design with the use of multiple processors can be successfully applied along with bit-parallel approximate string matching algorithms to solve practical bioinformatics problems. It will demonstrate that nearly optimal speedup can be achieved with a cluster of between two and eight workstations using MPI (Message Passing Interface), directly decreasing the total latency required to perform a string matching problem.
