Most of the reasons for implementing the EHMS (Electronic Health Management System) focus on improving medical care as a whole for Patient, Physicians and Doctors. However, achieving an excellent quality of best medical care through EMR (Electronic Medical Record) is neither low-cost nor easy. Based on our qualitative study on physician practices we have found that quality improvement depends heavily on doctors’ use of the EMRs, not use of papers for their daily tasks. I also identified Key barriers to physicians’ use of EMRs and also observed that EMR software becomes useless for doctors due to its complex interface. E-Health …

This project aims at designing a robot prototype made from Lego, which contains a Raspberry Pi device, that will be remotely controlled through a web application to allow the robot to perform certain movements which would be sent from the client’s interaction. The process began by researching several different technologies that we used as our starting point for designing both prototypes (hardware and software). Concurrently, we focused investigation on the IoT and were inspired to make a robot prototype that would implement the basic concepts and, at the same time, merge it with the previously learnt knowledge acquired during our …

Fake news or the distribution of disinformation has become one of the most challenging issues in society. News and information are churned out across online websites and platforms in real-time, with little or no way for the viewing public to determine what is real or manufactured. But an awareness of what we are consuming online is becoming apparent and efforts are underway to explore how we separate fake content from genuine and truthful information. The most challenging part of fake news is determining how to spot it. In technology, there are ways to help us do this. Supervised machine learning …

This report presents the development of an online review web application for the International English Language Market. While in Ireland this industry contributes hugely to the Irish economy, the few regulations on the sector caused a wave of closures from 2014 to 2016. Several specific aspects of this industry that have contributed to this situation, such as the fact that most hiring student are of non-EEA origin (which includes specific Immigration arrangements for this group) justifies the relevance of an online review tool. This project discusses alternatives for establishing trust in the sector through validation, while presents concerning topics surrounding …

In the market, there are not many options or tools for people that once could speak. However, due to an accident or stroke, not only lost their voices and even some of their movements, but also sign language is not an option either. The issue is that whichever communication alternative that is available is either too expensive to use or too complicated for their actual situation such as google voice, notepads, general writing tools, etc. as each of them requires a little bit of work to manage.

Therefore we intended to ease speech-impaired people’s lives by designing and developing an …

When talking about consuming and making purchases, it is always expected that there will also be a transaction in this act of trading and in this transaction a paper receipt is included, where the user gets a description of what they have spent and how much was spent.

The current dissertation demonstrates an application solution to reduce the cost of paper receipts that have been used in a daily basis stage and to track the value of expenses and incomes of a user who is consuming and spending their money when purchasing goods.

Additionally, we implement the Ecological Expense Tracker …

Birthdays are special events for everybody and for most of people it is an important date in their life, it is the day where they feel honoured and appreciated by their friends, family, acquaintances…

The main reason for creating an application dedicated to make from the Birthday event a fun game, is generated after bearing in mind how the tradition of giving presents to honour a birthday person is something important in many people's lives.

Another aspect considered during the conception of this application is how fast the world is moving, and how sometimes it could be beneficial to have …
