The Removal Hcl From Hot Gases With Calcium Compounds, Qian Lao

The use of CaCO₃, Ca(OH)₂, and CaO as adsorbents for removal of HCl from hot gas streams is investigated through a series of experiments. The experiments are conducted to evaluate the influence of key parameters such as temperature, (500 K to 1000 K), particle size, (0.037 mm to 3.36 mm), pressure drop of the packed bed, (0.1 cm H₂O to 25.5 cm H₂O), and concentration of CCl in the feed gas, (1,550 ppm to 20,000 ppm), on HCl adsorption.
