Study On Potential Applications And Toxicity Analysis Of Green Synthesized Nanoparticles, Rajni Garg, Priya Rani, Rishav Garg, Nnabuk Okon Eddy

Turkish Journal of Chemistry

Nanomaterials have garnered the significant interest of scientists owing to their technological as well as medical applications. In particular, metal and metal oxide nanoparticles have gained prominence because of their enhanced performance as compared to their bulk counterparts. Metal-supported nanomaterials are anticipated to make major contributions to solving today's most challenging issues, like energy harvesting and environmental remediation. The incorporation of nanoparticles into sensors has significantly enhanced their precision and selectivity. With the advent of green chemistry, green synthetic techniques have been prioritized for the synthesis of single and multicomponent nanomaterials. In the current review, we have addressed the multidimensional …

Green Biosynthesis, Characterization, And Cytotoxic Effect Of Magnetic Iron Nanoparticles Using Brassica Oleracea Var Capitata Sub Var Rubra (Red Cabbage) Aqueous Peel Extract, Ömer Erdoğan, Sali̇h Paşa, Gülen Meli̇ke Demi̇rbolat, Özge Çevi̇k

Turkish Journal of Chemistry

The green method of nanoparticle synthesis, which is an environment and living-friendly method, is an updated subject that has appeared as an alternative to conventional methods such as physical and chemical synthesis. In this presented study, the green synthesis of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) from iron (III) chloride by using Brassica oleracea var. capitata sub.var. rubra aqueous peel extract has been reported. The prepared IONPs were characterized with fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-VIS), zeta potential, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The cytotoxic effects of IONPs on MCF-7 breast cancer cell line were studied …

Preparation Of G-Cuo Nps And G-Zno Nps With Mallow Leaves, Investigation Of Theirantibacterial Behavior And Synthesis Of Bis(Indolyl)Methane Compounds Under Solventfreemicrowave Assisted Dry Milling Conditions Using G-Cuo Nps As A Catalyst, Mi̇ne Sulak

Turkish Journal of Chemistry

In this study, biogenic copper and zinc oxide nanoparticles (G-ZnONPs and G-CuONPs) were synthesized by the green synthesis method using Malva parviflora L. (Millow) leaf extract and the obtained nanoparticles were characterized in detail with UVVis, FTIR, SEM, XRD. The antibacterial properties of the synthesized nanoparticles on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria were investigated and it was found that the nanoparticles had high antimicrobial activity in the results of the experiments. With the obtained G-CuONPs, the synthesis of bis(indolyl)methanes with the "green" one-pot synthesis using microwave was achieved quickly and with high efficiency, and the thermal behavior of the obtained products …

A Four-Component Modified Biginelli Reaction: A Novel Approach For C-2 Functionalizeddihydropyrimidines, Harsha Narkhede, Avinash Dhake, Vaidhyanathan Balasubramaniyan Jan 2021

A Four-Component Modified Biginelli Reaction: A Novel Approach For C-2 Functionalizeddihydropyrimidines, Harsha Narkhede, Avinash Dhake, Vaidhyanathan Balasubramaniyan

Turkish Journal of Chemistry

A novel four component modified Biginelli reaction for the synthesis of C-2 functionalized dihydropyrimidines has been established. The approach uses assembly of less explored acetyl acetone with aromatic aldehyde, thiourea, and dimethyl sulphate to construct a novel 5-acetyl 2-methylthio dihydropyrimidine system, which works as an efficient well-designed intermediate for generating C-2 modified Biginelli libraries with nitrogen nucleophiles. Phenyl hydrazine, semicarbazide, and aryl semicarbazides are successfully used as N-nucleophiles to generate C-2 functionalized dihydropyrimidine derivatives, which fulfil the demands of active pharmacophore. Time economy, step economy, and a single pot reaction with moderate to excellent yield are the major advantages of …
