Modelling The Role Of Cloud Density On The Removal Of Gaseous Pollutants And Particulate Matters From The Atmosphere, Shyam Sundar, Rajan K. Sharma, Ram Naresh

Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)

In this paper, a six dimensional nonlinear mathematical model is proposed to study the effect of the density of cloud droplets (formed due to the presence of vapors in the atmosphere) on the removal of pollutants, both gaseous and particulate, from the atmosphere. We assume that there exist six nonlinearly interacting phases in the atmosphere i.e. the vapor phase, the phase of cloud droplets, the phase of raindrops, the phase of gaseous pollutants, the phase of particulate matters and the phase of gaseous pollutants absorbed in raindrops. It is further assumed that the dynamics of the system undergo ecological type …

According to Canadian tax law the interest payments on loans used for investment purposes are tax deductible while interest on personal mortgage loans is not. One way of transforming from non-tax deductible to tax deductible interest expenses is to borrow against home equity to make investments. This can be achieved through a re-advanceable mortgage and has been promoted by personal financial planners as a way of significantly decreasing the time required to pay off a mortgage and the associated total interest cost. However, the notion of risk associated with the investment holdings is not emphasized. Using simulation we study the …

(First paragraph) Matter, conceptually classified into fluids and solids, can be completely described by the microscopic physics of its constituent atoms or molecules. However, for most engineering applications a macroscopic or continuum description has usually been sufficient, because of the large disparity between the spatial and temporal scales relevant to these applications and the scales of the underlying molecular dynamics. In this case, the microscopic physics merely determines material properties such as the viscosity of a fluid or the elastic constants of a solid. These material properties cannot be derived within the macroscopic framework, but the qualitative nature of the …
