The aim of this study was to investigate the promoter polymorphisms of the growth hormone (GH1), growth hormone receptor (GHR), insulin-like growth factor (IGF-I), and prolactin (PRL) genes, and the correlation of the expression levels of these genes with lactation and daily milk yields in Holstein cattle. A total of 154 lactating Holstein cows raised in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey, with a mean age of 5.4 years and a mean body weight of 571.7 kg, constituted the study material.
