A035: What Makes Ecological Sport Possible: Reflections On Lewis Mumford's Technological View Of Mass Sport, Qiang Gao, Guosheng Shi
International Journal of Physical Activity and Health
Background/Purpose: Lewis Mumford insightfully points out that "if sport is played for sport's sake, then its primary significance is lost". Under the coercion of the machine system, sport has become a so-called spontaneous response to resist the machine system, but such spontaneous response has not succeeded in resisting the machine system, instead, it has made sport itself a compensatory system to stabilize the order under the machine system, which has led to a crisis in the ecology of sport itself. Mumford's critique is an effective path to solving the ecological crisis of sport by practicing deep ecological sport ideology. Deep …

Introduction: Selective attention is a core component of children and adolescents' intelligence and a source of individual differences. The status of selective attention of children and adolescents in China is not optimistic. In foreign countries, coordinated bilateral movement can help improve children’s and adolescents' attention. The fact that Chinese parents, schools, and society know little about coordinated bilateral movement, teachers in Chinese physical education and health programs almost never intentionally train students in this area.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore whether coordinated bilateral exercise can improve the selective attention levels of Chinese children and adolescents, so …

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health
Background: Some studies have shown that the stability and transcription of HIF-1α significantly increases under hypoxic conditions, and HIF and its downstream targets are becoming a new choice for the treatment of various organ injuries to improve physical function. Combined with the team's pre-screening of suitable hypoxic compound exercise protocols, this study aimed to explore the link between the expression of exercise HIF-1α under hypoxic conditions and cardiac function, in order to provide a realistic and theoretical basis for the improvement of cardiac function by hypoxic compound exercise.
Methods: 300 Drosophila flies of wild-type W1118 strain feathered within 12 …
