A040: Exercise Modulates Dilp6 Via Foxo To Ameliorate Hfd-Induced Lipotoxic Cardiomyopathy In Drosophila, Zhihao Pan, Lan Zheng

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

A High-fat diet (HFD) has been shown to cause myocardial lipotoxicity and thus cardiac dysfunction in Drosophila, but the underlying mechanisms and intervention strategies are unclear. Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) (Drosophila Dilp6 homologue) plays an important role in adipocyte differentiation, insulin sensitivity. Exercise can improve lipid metabolism disorders, cardiac hypertrophy, and myocardial fibrosis, and effectively prevent lipotoxic cardiomyopathy. Studies have shown that the insulin-regulated transcription factor Foxo positively regulates the expression of Dilp6 in Drosophila adipose bodies. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate whether exercise regulates the expression of Dilp6 through the transcription factor Foxo to …

A048: Design And Application Of Motion Capture Analysis System For Sports Intangible Cultural Heritage, Haoxiang Xie

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

As a core component of China's sports intangible cultural heritage, traditional martial arts face critical challenges in technical transmission, including movement distortion, non-standardized instruction, and cultural semantic loss. Existing motion capture technologies struggle to balance high-dynamic movement precision with cultural context interpretation (e.g., Tai Chi’s waist-hip rotation reflecting Yin-Yang philosophy). This study aims to design a multi-modal motion capture analysis system (MCAS) that integrates optical-inertial-force sensing architectures, culturally weighted algorithms, and real-time feedback mechanisms to resolve occlusion-induced drift errors and preserve both bio-mechanical accuracy and cultural semantics, thereby providing a technical pathway for digital preservation and transmission of martial arts. …

A075: Endurance Exercise Downregulates Sparc To Improve Age-Related Myocardial Fibrosis In High-Fat Flies, Wenqing Huang, Lan Zheng

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

Myocardial fibrosis is an important pathological feature of cardiovascular aging, and a high-fat diet (HFD) can accelerate its progression, while SPARC, a remodeling-related protein, may mediate this mechanism. Endurance exercise has been shown to have cardioprotective effects, but its regulatory mechanism on age-related myocardial fibrosis induced by a high-fat diet is still unclear. This study aims to explore whether endurance exercise improves the cardiac fibrosis phenotype in high-fat-fed fruit flies by downregulating SPARC expression and elucidates its underlying molecular mechanisms. Method: Wild-type female fruit flies (n=400) within 12 hours of feathering were selected and randomly divided into four groups (n=100 …
