The study identified the internal factors of the cochlear implant center in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital as a consideration for developing hospital policies and the external factors to determine strategies for future development. Perubahan pola makan diketahui merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mengendalikan obesitas dan penyakit kronis lain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pola konsumsi makanan berisiko dengan obesitas sentral pada wanita usia 25-65 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan data baseline Studi Kohort PTM tahun 2011-2012 di Bogor, dengan desain studicross sectional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 2531 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 54% responden mengalami obesitas sentral dengan rata-rata lingkar perut sebesar 80,9+ 11,6 cm. Heat stress is one of many physical agents to which thousands of workers are under constant exposure. Oftentimes it is necessary to work above the WBGT-based heat stress exposure limits. It is therefore important to consider alternative measures that include an exposure time limit to manage the heat stress. Predicted Heat Strain (PHS) (ISO7933) is one of those alternatives. PHS uses both personal factors like height and weight and job factors of environment, metabolic rate and clothing. Background: Objectification theory considers how gender and culture intersect to position women at a greater risk of developing eating disorders, depression, and sexual dysfunction. Self-objectification is defined as the internalization of a third person perspective to view one’s own body, which then leads to mental health consequences of anxiety, body shame, insensitivity to internal drives, and decreased peak motivational states. Body surveillance, the habitual and constant monitoring of the body, denotes the behavioral manifestation of self-objectification. Altogether, the accumulation of objectifying experiences and mental health consequences heighten women’s risks of developing the aforementioned mental disorders.

Long working hours are recognized as a risk factor for cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases (CCVD). We investigated the relationship between working hours and different CCVD severity outcomes—death, disability, and illness—across industries in Taiwan from 2006 to 2016. We applied a generalized additive mixed model to estimate the association between working hours and the rate of each severity outcome, adjusted for salary, unemployment rate, time, and a random intercept. Industry-average working hours were significantly associated with each outcome level of overwork-related CCVD, especially when monthly working hours increased from 169 (relative risk [RR] = 1.46, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.002–2.12) to …

This article develops a comparative analysis of healthcare provision to migrants in the US and in China. It proceeds in three parts. First, we begin by describing the growth of the unauthorized population and trace the evolution of social provision of healthcare to immigrants, highlighting the restrictive nature of federal social provisions and greater autonomy of state and local governments in redefining eligibility criteria in the US.
