Cases of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection in Pati District increase, particularly among housewives. The aim of this study was to analyse the risk factors of HIV infection among housewives in Pati District using case-control study design. The respondents were 90 housewives divided into case and control group. The case group consisted of 30 housewives living with HIV, while the control group comprised 60 housewives living in the similar area of the counterparts. The data collection was focused on demographic, sexual behaviour, and sociocultural variables possessed by housewives and their husbands. The study resulted that the risk factors of HIV …

Indonesia has the highest prevalence of smoking (50.68%) compared to other ASEAN countries. On January 1st, 2017, the Indonesian government raised cigarette excise taxes. The purpose of this study was to analysis the impact of cigarette excise increase on cigarette consumption among adolescents aged 17 to 25 years. The study design used cross-sectional survey. A total of 153 adolescents were recruited in this study through simple random sampling technique. Questionnaires and observation papers were used in this study. West Pasaman District and Agam District are filariasis-endemic areas in West Sumatra with prevalence of 12.40 per 100,000 cases and 11.27 per 100,000 cases respectively. This study aimed to determine risk factors associated with the prevalence of filariasis and mapping the vulnerability of the area in West Sumatra. This study aimed to investigate real intake at the first and sixth month of breastfeeding and determine the dominant factor affecting 6-month exclusive breastfeeding provision. Competency of healthcare provider has significant impact on performance of the hospital. Measuring competency of healthcare provider are essential to improve better quality of service provisioned. The study evaluates competency of healthcare provider at Bhakti Yudha Hospital by using the competency standards established by multiple organizations of Indonesian national healthcare provider association mapped against eight units of health provider. The result stated that competency level of healthcare providers at Bhakti Yudha Hospital have had not met the expectations. It is concluded that working experiences and number of relevant training received has significant impact on competency level of healthcare provider.

The focus of this research is indentifying infection prevention and control program in Tebet hospital through observation of nursing action on infusion, bandage, injecting and waste management, and indentifying nurse’s characteristics, policies, facilities, monitoring and reporting of infection. This research using qualitative and quantitative approach. Unit analysis of this research is 105 of actions mentioned above by all nurses in the inpatient room. Diabetes melitus (DM) adalah salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang paling umum di Indonesia. DM disebabkan berbagai faktor risiko. Peningkatan prevalensi DM salah satunya disebabkan oleh perubahan gaya hidup di perkotaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji perbedaan prevalensi DM yang didiagnosis dokter pada laki-laki dan perempuan usia 15 tahun keatas yang tinggal di daerah perkotaan di Indonesia. Analisis menggunakan data sekunder Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) 2013 dengan desain studi potong lintang. Total sampel sebanyak 333.731 responden. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur parameter parasitologi (microfilaria rate, kepadatan mikrofilaria), parameter imunologi (antigen prevalence) dan parameter entomologi (infection rate dan infective rate) pada tahun kelima pelaksanaan mass drug administration di Kelurahan Pabean Kota Pekalongan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan potong lintang yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai dengan Agustus 2015 di Kelurahan Pabean Kota Pekalongan. Microfilaria rate dan kepadatan mikrofilaria ditentukan dengan pemeriksaan darah jari pada 313 responden. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian informed consent terhadap tingkat kecemasan pada pasien pra-operasi di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Mamuju. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah pasien pra-operasi. Sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan accidental sampling sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 32 orang. TB merupakan tantangan bagi pengendalian Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) karena merupakan infeksi oportunistik terbanyak pada orang dengan HIV/AIDS (ODHA). TB dapat meningkatkan progresivitas HIV dan meningkatkan risiko kematian bagi penderita HIV. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui prediktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian TB pada ODHA di salah satu RS tahun 2014-2016. Desain studi yang digunakan adalah cross sectional dengan menggunakan data register ART dan Rekam Medis. Sampel berjumlah 817 pasien HIV. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan multiple cox regression. This study aims to map the incidence of readmission in JKN participants admitted to thirteen partner hospitals of BPJS-Health in Sukabumi. The research design is a descriptive study with the unit of analysis is patient. The study used secondary data from inpatient claims in thirteen partner hospitals BPJS-Health Sukabumi which has been verified during 2015. Stigma terhadap ODHA menjadi salah satu hambatan paling besar dalam pencegahan, perawatan, pengobatan, dan dukungan HIV/AIDS. Pengetahuan tentang HIV/AIDS mempengaruhi terjadinya stigma terhadap ODHA. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan tentang HIV/AIDS dengan stigma terhadap ODHA di kalangan remaja usia 15-19 tahun di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan data Survei Demografi dan Kesehatan Indonesia (SDKI) Tahun 2012 dengan disain cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 8.316 orang. Hasil studi menunjukkan 71,63% remaja mempunyai stigma terhadap ODHA, 49,10% remaja mempunyai pengetahuan yang kurang tentang HIV. Kematian bayi didefinisikan sebagai kematian yang terjadi pada tahun pertama kehidupan. Angka kematian bayi di Indonesia dan Kamboja sendiri masih berada diatas AKB Asia Tenggara, sedangkan Filipina sudah sama dengan AKB Asia Tenggara. Jarak kelahiran merupakan salah satu faktor yang memegang peran penting pada kematian bayi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh jarak kelahiran terhadap kematian bayi di Indonesia, Filipina dan Kamboja. Penelitian menggunakan data dari Demographic Health Survey (DHS). Desain penelitian adalah cross sectional dan sampel pada masing-masing negara berjumlah 10.162, 4.741 dan 4.330 bayi. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan, jarak kelahiran < 18 bulan memiliki risiko paling besar terhadap kematian bayi di Indonesia (OR = 2,43: 95% CI 1,26 - 4,70), Kamboja (OR = 4,39: 95% CI 1,76 - 10,94) dibandingkan jarak kelahiran 18 - 23 bulan, 24 - 35 bulan dan > 36 bulan.
