Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common cause of high blood pressure but often undetected in patients with hypertension. Screening tools for OSA exist but are underutilized. This project aimed to identify current practices and perceptions related to screening for OSA in patients with hypertension and improve primary care provider knowledge of OSA and screening rates using the STOP-BANG screening tool.
