Globally 529,000 women die every year due to harmful consequences of childbirth. This study aimed to explore the barriers and facilitators that influence the provision of quality care during labour at maternity centres in Karachi, Pakistan. The qualitative exploratory study design was used to study such factors from public and private maternity health facilities of Karachi, Pakistan. This article-based dissertation consists of two complete manuscripts related to oral glucose gel, which is used to treat neonatal hypoglycemia (NH). In the first manuscript, a pre and post-intervention retrospective study was completed to examine the effects of the introduction of glucose gel on the exclusive breastfeeding rate and the admission rate to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) on neonates over 35 weeks gestation who were at risk for NH in a mother-baby unit of a Baby-Friendly hospital. Introduction: The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy of Invisalign's (Align Technology, Santa Clara, Calif) optimized and conventional attachments on rotational and extrusive tooth movements. Methods: Initial, predicted, and achieved digital dental models from 100 orthodontic patients were exported from Invisalign's ClinCheck software as stereolithography files and subsequently imported into the Slicer CMF program (version 4.7.0; http://www.slicer.org) for superimpositions on posterior teeth with no planned movement. BACKGROUND: The US healthcare settings and staff have been stretched to capacity by the COVID-19 pandemic. While COVID-19 continues to threaten global healthcare delivery systems and populations, its impact on nursing has been profound.

OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to document nurses' immediate reactions, major stressors, effective measures to reduce stress, coping strategies, and motivators as they provided care during COVID-19.

DESIGN: Mixed-methods, cross sectional design. Participants responded to objective and open-ended questions on the COVID-19 Nurses' Survey.

Newly licensed nurses are at incredibly high risk for reality shock leading to early burnout which results in many of them resigning their positions or leaving nursing altogether. Common feelings leading to reality shock often involve exhaustion, cynicism, depersonalization, decreased self-efficacy, and decreased job satisfaction.
