Efforts to address obesity in African American adults through diet, weight reduction, and increased physical activity in settings such as schools, worksites, healthcare organizations, churches, and communities, are among the initiatives of Healthy People 2020. Nurse practitioners are viable alternatives to provide high-quality treatment of depression. The project's purpose was to describe nurse practitioners' attitudes toward nonpharmacological interventions to treat clinical depression. Attitude theory provided the theoretical framework. The American Psychiatric Association's guidelines for treating major depression provided the conceptual framework. The project used a quantitative nonexperimental descriptive survey research design. Background Maternal diet is critical to fetal development and lifelong health outcomes. In this context, dietary quality indices in pregnancy should be explicitly underpinned by data correlating food intake patterns with nutrient intakes known to be important for gestation.

Aims Our aim was to assess the correlation between dietary quality scores derived from a novel online dietary assessment tool (DAT) and nutrient intake data derived from the previously validated Willett Food Frequency Questionnaire (WFFQ).

Second semester undergraduate nursing students in their psychiatric/mental health clinical rotation express an array of emotions as they frequently view the setting as foreign. Two assignments, reflective journaling and a form of expression were incorporated into clinical to provide students an opportunity to reflect and convey their thoughts and feelings concerning their clinical experiences. The purpose of this study was to increase understanding of the reporting patterns of WPV Type II in acute hospital settings. Although some patients are abusive toward nurses, that the abuse is underreported to hospital administrators. Qualitative studies identified common themes for underreporting including fear of being blamed, abuse considered part of the job, and not having sufficient time to fill out a formal report. Purpose/Aims: The purpose of this study was to explore the lived experience of older single women who moved from their independent homes to the assisted living setting, both situated within a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC).

Rationale: Anecdotally, CCRC transitions have been viewed as either one dreaded possible step toward the end of life or a supportive place to open a new chapter in older adults’ lives. The fifth Millennium development Goal (MDG) calls for a reduction in the maternal mortality ratio (MMR) by 75% between 1990 and 2015, with a key indicator being the proportion of births attended to by skilled health personnel, (United Nations, 2007). In Kenya the MMR is 400 and has made insufficient progress towards improving maternal health, (UNICEF, WHO, World Bank, 2013). The median prevalence of smoking among women of childbearing age in the United States is 22.4%. Of women who identify themselves as smokers in the three months prior to conception, 55% quit during pregnancy; however, 40% of those who quit relapse and return to smoking within six months after delivery. Purpose: The purpose of this integrative review is to 1) describe intervention attributes, 2) describe the role of nurses in community PA promotion, and 3) describe the efficacy of the interventions in terms of PA behavior change. Methods: Computerized database and ancestry search strategies located distinct intervention trials between 1990 and 2015. Results: Thirteen national and international studies with 2,353 participants were reviewed. Multi-dose, face-to-face, group-based interventions with or without individual-based contacts for 6 months or less were the most common intervention delivery modes. Only 40% (n=5) of the studies integrated health behavior theory into intervention design. Less than half …

Access to health care in rural communities is challenged by workforce shortages. Nurse practitioners (NPs) have been filling the gap created by physician migration into specialty areas. วัตถุประสงค์: 1) เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะครอบครัวของวัยรุ่นที่ตั้งครรภ์และวัยรุ่นที่ไม่ตั้งครรภ์ 2) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ปัจจัยจำแนกกลุ่มและอำนาจพยากรณ์การเป็นสมาชิกกลุ่มที่จำแนกกลุ่มวัยรุ่นที่มีการตั้งครรภ์ในวัยรุ่นและไม่ตั้งครรภ์ในวัยรุ่น\n\nรูปแบบการวิจัย: กลุ่มเปรียบเทียบ (Case control study)\n \nวิธีดำเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นหญิงวัยรุ่นอายุ 13-19 ปี โดยแบ่งเป็นกลุ่มศึกษา คือ หญิงวัยรุ่นตั้งครรภ์ที่มาฝากครรภ์ในโรงพยาบาลตติยภูมิ และกลุ่มควบคุม คือ วัยรุ่นหญิงที่ไม่ตั้งครรภ์ที่ศึกษาในโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษา จำนวนกลุ่มละ 85 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบสอบถามการสื่อสารเรื่องเพศกับผู้ปกครอง และแบบสอบถามการรับรู้ผลกระทบของการตั้งครรภ์ในวัยรุ่น มีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์อัลฟ่าของครอนบาคเท่ากับ .87 และ .66 วิเคราะห็ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติการวิเคราะห์จำแนกประเภท (Discriminant analysis)\n\nผลการวิจัย: 1) วัยรุ่นที่ตั้งครรภ์มีอายุเฉลี่ยของมารดาที่มีบุตรคนแรก และคะแนนเฉลี่ยการรับรู้ผลกระทบของการตั้งครรภ์น้อยกว่าวัยรุ่นหญิงที่ไม่ตั้งครรภ์ (21.84 vs. 26.08; 45.12 vs. 51.68, p = .000 ตามลำดับ) 2) ปัจจัยที่สามารถจำแนกกลุ่มวัยรุ่นที่มีการตั้งครรภ์ในวัยรุ่นและไม่ตั้งครรภ์ในวัยรุ่นได้มี 4 ปัจจัยคือ อายุของกลุ่มตัวอย่างการรับรู้ผลกระทบของการตั้งครรภ์ในวัยรุ่นอายุที่มารดามีบุตรคนแรก และการสื่อสารเรื่องเพศกับผู้ปกครอง (.712,-.496, -.475 และ .241 ตามลำดับ) 3) สมการจำแนกกลุ่ม พยากรณ์การเป็นสมาชิกของกลุ่มวัยรุ่นที่มีการตั้งครรภ์ในวัยรุ่น ได้ร้อยละ 76.5 และกลุ่มที่ไม่ตั้งครรภ์ในวัยรุ่น ได้ร้อยละ 89.4 และพยากรณ์การเป็นสมาชิกของกลุ่มโดยเฉลี่ยได้ร้อยละ 82.9\n\nสรุป: ปัจจัยด้านอายุของกลุ่มตัวอย่าง การรับรู้ผลกระทบของการตั้งครรภ์ในวัยรุ่น อายุที่มารดามีบุตรคนแรก และการสื่อสารเรื่องเพศกับผู้ปกครอง เป็นปัจจัยที่สามารถจำแนกกลุ่มวัยรุ่นที่ตั้งครรภ์และไม่ตั้งครรภ์ได้ จึงควรนำปัจจัยดังกล่าวมาวางแผนเพื่อลดปัญหาการตั้งครรภ์ในวัยรุ่นต่อไป\n

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาพตามวิถีวัฒนธรรมสุขภาพลุ่มแม่น้ำโขงสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวผู้สูงอายุ\n\nรูปแบบการวิจัย: การวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการ\n\nวิธีดำเนินการวิจัย: พื้นที่ศึกษา คือ บ้านซะซอม ตำบลนาโพธิ์กลาง อำเภอโขงเจียม จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ศึกษาประกอบด้วย สมาชิกกลุ่ม "กินข้าวเซาเฮือน" จำนวน 14 คน คณะกรรมการกลุ่มโฮมสเตย์บ้านซะซอม จำนวน 12 คน ผู้สูงอายุบ้านซะซอม จำนวน 8 คน และนักท่องเที่ยวสูงอายุที่สมัครใจเข้าร่วมโครงการ จำนวน 28 คน การดำเนินการวิจัยมี 3 ระยะ ระยะที่ 1 ศึกษาบริบทชุมชน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แบบสำรวจวิถีชุมชน และแบบสัมภาษณ์การรับรู้สุขภาวะของนักท่องเที่ยวสูงอายุ ระยะที่ 2 กระบวนการพัฒนารูปแบบการท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพสำหรับผู้สูงอายุตามวิถีชาวบ้านลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แนวทางการสนทนากลุ่ม และแบบสังเกตอย่างมีส่วนร่วม ระยะที่ 3 การศึกษาผลการพัฒนา เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย โปรแกรมการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาพผู้สูงอายุตามวิถีวัฒนธรรมสุขภาพลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง แบบสอบถามความสุขและความพึงพอใจในการเข้าร่วมโปรแกรมการท่องเที่ยว แบบประเมินศักยภาพของชุมชนในการบริหารจัดการการท่องเที่ยว วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ความถี่ ร้อยละ และค่าเฉลี่ย\n\nผลการวิจัย: ด้านบริบทชุมชน บ้านซะซอม ตั้งอยู่ในพื้นที่อำเภอโขงเจียม จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี สภาพภูมิศาสตร์ แหล่งท่องเที่ยว และชุมชนมีศักยภาพในการจัดการท่องเที่ยว นักท่องเที่ยวผู้สูงอายุมีความสุขและความพึงพอใจจากเข้าร่วมโปรแกรมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพ ในระดับมาก และมากที่สุด ร้อยละ 93.8 และ 93.8 องค์ประกอบโมเดล รูปแบบการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาพตามวิถีวัฒนธรรมสุขภาพลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง (ซะซอมโมเดล) ประกอบด้วยองค์ประกอบที่ 1 กิจกรรมการส่งเสริมสุขภาพผู้สูงอายุแบบองค์รวม องค์ประกอบที่ 2 ทุนทางสังคม องค์ประกอบที่ 3 การบริหารจัดการตามแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง องค์ประกอบที่ 4 การส่งเสริมสุขภาพเหมาะสมกับวัย\n \nสรุป: จากผลการศึกษาดังกล่าว มีข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบาย คือ หน่วยงานด้านการท่องเที่ยว หน่วยงานด้านการปกครอง สถาบันการศึกษาร่วมกับชุมชนที่มีความพร้อมมีการพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยว จัดการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อรองรับสังคมผู้สูงอายุ โดยรูปแบบการจัดโปรแกรมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพเพื่อผู้สูงอายุ ควรเป็นกิจกรรมที่ส่งเสริมสุขภาพเป็นองค์รวม ลักษณะกิจกรรมสอดคล้องกับวัย และใช้ทุนทางสังคมที่มีอยู่ โดยมีระบบการจัดการตามแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง\n

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาผลของโปรแกรมการมีส่วนร่วมของครอบครัวต่อความวิตกกังวลของผู้ป่วย\nมะเร็งเต้านมที่ได้รับเคมีบำบัด\n \nแบบแผนงานวิจัย: เป็นการวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง\n\nวิธีดำเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้ป่วยมะเร็งเต้านมหลังผ่าตัด ที่เข้ารับการรักษาเสริมด้วยเคมีบำบัด ที่หน่วยเคมีบำบัด คณะแพทยศาสตร์วชิรพยาบาล มหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพมหานคร และบุคคลในครอบครัวที่มีความสำคัญและใกล้ชิดซึ่งมีคุณสมบัติตามเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด จำนวน 40 ราย แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มควบคุม 20 ราย และกลุ่มทดลอง 20 ราย โดยจับคู่ให้กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีความคล้ายคลึงกันในเรื่อง อายุ ระยะของโรค จำนวนชุดและสูตรเคมีบำบัดที่ได้รับ ความสัมพันธ์ของครอบครัว กลุ่มควบคุมได้รับการพยาบาลตามปกติ กลุ่มทดลองได้รับโปรแกรมการมีส่วนร่วมของครอบครัว ซึ่งโปรแกรมนี้ผู้วิจัยพัฒนาขึ้นโดยประยุกต์ใช้แนวคิดของเชปป์ (Schepp, 1995) ร่วมกับแนวคิดการสัมผัสของไวสส์ (Weiss, 1979) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ แบบประเมินความวิตกกังวลขณะเผชิญ มีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาของครอนบาคเท่ากับ .84 สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ สถิติเชิงพรรณนา สถิติทดสอบความแปรปรวน และสถิติทดสอบค่าที\n \nผลการวิจัย: 1) ความวิตกกังวลของผู้ป่วยมะเร็งเต้านมที่ได้รับเคมีบำบัดภายหลังได้รับโปรแกรมการมีส่วนร่วมของครอบครัวต่ำกว่าก่อนเข้าร่วมโปรแกรมฯ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05\n2) ความวิตกกังวลของผู้ป่วยมะเร็งเต้านมที่ได้รับเคมีบำบัดภายหลังได้รับโปรแกรมการมีส่วนร่วมของครอบครัวต่ำกว่ากลุ่มที่ได้รับการพยาบาลตามปกติอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05\n\nสรุป: ผลการศึกษาครั้งนี้สามารถนำมาเป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาคุณภาพทางการพยาบาล โดยการสนับสนุนให้ครอบครัวมีส่วนร่วมในการดูแลเพื่อลดความวิตกกังวลของผู้ป่วยมะเร็งเต้านมที่ได้รับเคมีบำบัดและสามารถช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วยให้เข้าสู่กระบวนการเผชิญปัญหาได้อย่างเหมาะสม\n

ผลของโปรแกรมส่งเสริมการรับรู้สมรรถนะแห่งตนต่อพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองของเด็กวัยเรียนโรคธาลัสซีเมีย, นอลีสา สูนสละ, นรลักขณ์ เอื้อกิจ

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาผลของโปรแกรมส่งเสริมการรับรู้สมรรถนะแห่งตนต่อพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองของเด็กวัยเรียนโรคธาลัสซีเมีย\n \nแบบแผนงานวิจัย: การวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง\n\nวิธีดำเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นเด็กวัยเรียนโรคธาลัสซีเมีย อายุ 7-12 ปี ที่มารับบริการที่คลินิกโรคเลือด แผนกผู้ป่วยนอก โรงพยาบาลมหาราช นครศรีธรรมราช โดยแบ่งเป็นกลุ่มควบคุม และกลุ่มทดลอง กลุ่มละ 25 คน กลุ่มควบคุมได้รับการพยาบาลตามปกติ กลุ่มทดลองได้รับโปรแกรมส่งเสริมการรับรู้สมรรถนะแห่งตน ซึ่งประกอบด้วย 4 ขั้นตอน คือ 1) การให้คำแนะนำและใช้คำพูดชักจูง 2) การใช้ตัวแบบ 3) การจัดประสบการณ์ของการประสบความสำเร็จในการลงมือทำกิจกรรมด้วยตนเอง และ 4) การประเมินสภาพทางร่างกายและการกระตุ้นทางอารมณ์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองของเด็กวัยเรียนโรคธาลัสซีเมีย และแบบสอบถามการรับรู้สมรรถนะแห่งตนในการมีพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองของเด็กวัยเรียนโรคธาลัสซีเมีย ซึ่งผ่านการตรวจสอบความตรงตามเนื้อหาโดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ จำนวน 5 คน มีค่าความเที่ยงเท่ากับ .84 และ .78 ตามลำดับ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยหาค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบที\n\nผลการวิจัย: 1) คะแนนเฉลี่ยพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองของเด็กวัยเรียนโรคธาลัสซีเมียหลังได้รับโปรแกรมส่งเสริมการรับรู้สมรรถนะแห่งตนสูงกว่าก่อนได้รับโปรแกรมฯ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 (t =9.518p < .05) 2) คะแนนเฉลี่ยพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองของเด็กวัยเรียนโรคธาลัสซีเมียในกลุ่มที่ได้รับโปรแกรมส่งเสริมการรับรู้สมรรถนะแห่งตนสูงกว่ากลุ่มที่ได้รับการพยาบาลตามปกติ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 (t =9.402p < .05)\n\nสรุป: โปรแกรมส่งเสริมการรับรู้สมรรถนะแห่งตนส่งผลให้เด็กวัยเรียนโรคธาลัสซีเมียมีพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองที่ดีขึ้นและดีกว่าการพยาบาลตามปกติ\n
