Background: Tardive Dyskinesia (TD) is a debilitating, often irreversible movement disorder caused by prolonged exposure to dopamine receptor-blocking agents, affecting 15-30% of patients on long-term antipsychotic therapy. Despite endorsement of the Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) as the gold standard for TD screening, the condition remains significantly under-diagnosed. Background: ACEs are potentially traumatic experiences occurring before age 18 that are associated with toxic stress and worsening health outcomes. Background: ACEs are strongly associated with an increased risk of developing SUDs, chronic medical comorbidities, and negative treatment outcomes.
