Background: Early trauma predicts poor psychological and physical health. Glutamatergic synaptic processes offer one avenue for understanding this relationship, given glutamate's abundance and involvement in reward and stress sensitivity, emotion, and learning. Trauma-induced glutamatergic excitotoxicity may alter neuroplasticity and approach/avoidance tendencies, increasing risk for psychiatric disorders. Studies examine upstream or downstream effects instead of glutamatergic synaptic processes in vivo, limiting understanding of how trauma affects the brain.Objective: In a pilot study using a previously published data set, we examine associations between early trauma and a proposed measure of synaptic strength in vivo in one of the largest human …

BACKGROUND: In children, nonadherence to inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) therapy leads to poor asthma control and complications.

METHODS: We evaluated the benefit from initiation of ICS administration once daily at school. We retrospectively chose patients from our pediatric pulmonary clinic who had poorly controlled asthma and prescribed ICS daily. For the study period, we examined the number of corticosteroid courses, emergency room visits, hospital admissions, symptom history, and pulmonary function tests.

RESULTS: Thirty-four patients who satisfied the inclusion criteria began the intervention. Preintervention, there were a mean number of 2.6 oral corticosteroid courses compared to 2 courses in the year following …

Traditionally, intracranial pressure (ICP) and partial brain tissue oxygenation (PbtO2) have been the primary invasive intracranial measurements used to guide management in patients with severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). After injury however, the brain develops an increased metabolic demand which may require an increment in the oxidative metabolism of glucose. Simultaneously, metabolic, and electrical dysfunction can lead to an inability to meet these demands, even in the absence of ischemia or increased intracranial pressure. การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความชุก พฤติกรรม ทัศนคติ รวมถึงปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการใช้สารเสพติดของทหารเกณฑ์ ได้ทำการศึกษาในทหารเกณฑ์ สังกัดค่ายทหาร จังหวัดราชบุรี ช่วงเดือนกรกฎาคม - กันยายน ปี 2566 จำนวน 400 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถามข้อมูลทั่วไป แบบสอบถามทัศนคติต่อการใช้สารเสพติด แบบคัดกรองประสบการณ์ในการใช้ยาสูบ สุรา และสารเสพติดตัวอื่นๆ แบบสอบถามความผิดปกติของการใช้สารเสพติด และการตรวจปัสสาวะ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ คือ สถิติเชิงพรรณนา และสถิติเชิงอนุมาน ผลการศึกษาพบความชุกการใช้สารอย่างน้อยหนึ่งชนิดตลอดช่วงชีวิตและช่วง 3 เดือนที่ผ่านมา คิดเป็นร้อยละ 86.7 และ 71.5 ตามลำดับ สารที่มีการใช้มากที่สุด 5 อันดับแรก คือ เครื่องดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ ผลิตภัณฑ์ยาสูบ ใบกระท่อม กัญชา และสารผสมน้ำต้มใบกระท่อม พบผู้ที่ใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์ยาสูบ (82.68%) กัญชา (50.00%) มีความเสี่ยงระดับปานกลาง ในกลุ่มผู้ใช้สารแต่ละชนิด พบความผิดปกติจากการใช้สาร 76.76%, 37.38%, 37.37%, 34.14%, 27.27, 26.67% ในกลุ่มผู้ใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์ยาสูบ, เครื่องดื่มแอลกอฮอล์, กัญชา, ใบกระท่อม สารผสมน้ำต้มใบกระท่อมและกลุ่มแอมเฟตามีน ตามลำดับ กลุ่มตัวอย่างส่วนใหญ่มีทัศนคติเชิงลบต่อการใช้สารเสพติด การมีระดับการศึกษาที่ต่ำและมีรายได้เพียงพอเป็นปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์และเป็นปัจจัยทำนายการใช้สารเสพติดของทหารเกณฑ์ สังกัดค่ายทหาร จังหวัดราชบุรี (P

ความเครียดจากการทำงาน ภาวะหมดไฟในการทำงานและคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ช่วยทันตแพทย์ที่ทำงานในคลินิกทันตกรรมเอกชน เขตพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานคร ประเทศไทย, ภวิษยา จิตสมานกุล

การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความชุกและปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความเครียดจากการทำงาน ภาวะหมดไฟในการทำงาน และคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ช่วยทันตแพทย์ที่ทำงานในคลินิกทันตกรรมเอกชนในกรุงเทพมหานคร การวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษา ณ ช่วงเวลาใดเวลาหนึ่ง (Cross-sectional study) โดยเก็บข้อมูลจากผู้ช่วยทันตแพทย์จำนวน 370 คนที่ทำงานในเขตพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานคร ใช้แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบประเมินความเครียดสวนปรุง (SPST-20) แบบประเมินภาวะหมดไฟ (MBI-GS) และแบบประเมินคุณภาพชีวิต (WHOQOL-BREF-THAI) เป็นเครื่องมือวิจัยในการศึกษานี้ โดยทำการเก็บข้อมูลแบบออนไลน์และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติ Multiple Linear Regression วิธี Stepwise กำหนดนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ 0.05 ผลการศึกษาพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างผู้ช่วยทันตแพทย์ส่วนใหญ่มีความเครียดระดับปานกลาง (ร้อยละ 41.3) และคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดี (ร้อยละ 66.2) แต่ไม่พบภาวะหมดไฟ (ร้อยละ 96.8) ในกลุ่มตัวอย่างนี้ โดยปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อความเครียดได้แก่ ชั่วโมงการทำงาน (B=4.531, p=0.009) และประสบการณ์การทำงาน (B=-9.945, p=0.012) ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อภาวะหมดไฟในการทำงานได้แก่ ภาระหนี้สิน (B=8.298, p

การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนาภาคตัดขวาง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความกลัว ความวิตกกังวล และสัมพันธภาพในครอบครัว ของเด็กวัยเรียนที่ศึกษาในระบบเรียนรวม สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาน่าน เขต1 เก็บข้อมูลจากเด็กวัยเรียนอายุ 9-12 ปี จำนวน 429 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยมี 4 ส่วน ได้แก่ แบบเก็บข้อมูลพื้นฐานและปัจจัยทางจิตสังคม แบบวัดสัมพันธภาพในครอบครัวฉบับภาษาไทย แบบสำรวจความกลัวของเด็กและวัยรุ่นฉบับภาษาไทย และแบบประเมินภาวะวิตกกังวลสำหรับเด็กฉบับภาษาไทย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีคะแนนการกลัวความตายและสิ่งที่เป็นอันตราย มากเป็นอันดับหนึ่ง (Mean = 3.75, SD = 0.79) มีภาวะวิตกกังวลเมื่อเผชิญกับสถานการณ์ที่อาจจะคุกคามตนเอง ระดับน้อย ร้อยละ 62.6 มีอุปนิสัยวิตกกังวล ระดับมาก ร้อยละ 53.4 มีรูปแบบสัมพันธภาพครอบครัวแบบค่อนไปทางสมดุล ร้อยละ 62.9 ปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์กับระดับความกลัวที่สูงขึ้น ได้แก่ เพศหญิง อายุที่น้อย การมีความต้องการพิเศษ การเป็นบุตรลำดับรอง รายได้รวมต่อเดือนของครอบครัวน้อยกว่า 10,000 บาท การไม่ได้อยู่อาศัยกับพ่อแม่ ส่วนปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์กับระดับภาวะวิตกกังวลเมื่อเผชิญกับสถานการณ์ที่อาจจะคุกคามตนเองที่สูงขึ้น ได้แก่ อายุที่น้อย การเป็นบุตรลำดับรอง รูปแบบสัมพันธภาพในครอบครัวที่สมดุลน้อย การมีสมาชิกในครอบครัวมีประวัติความต้องการพิเศษ ปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์กับระดับอุปนิสัยวิตกกังวลที่สูงขึ้น ได้แก่ เพศหญิง ระดับชั้นการศึกษาที่เพิ่มขึ้น รูปแบบสัมพันธภาพในครอบครัวที่สมดุลน้อย สรุป ปัจจัยพื้นฐานและปัจจัยทางจิตสังคมมีความสัมพันธ์กับความกลัวและความวิตกกังวล จึงเป็นแนวทางให้เข้าใจและออกแบบโปรแกรมส่งเสริมสุขภาวะบุคคลได้ต่อไป

The data was acquired from the University of Michigan Health and Retirement Study, a publicly available dataset. The absence of adequate knowledge, skills, and competencies in screening for suicide risk in adolescent and young adult patients is a significant problem facing nurses in outpatient settings. An evaluation of the project site facility’s main performance metrics revealed shortcomings in locating patients who pose a serious risk of self-harm and suicide. Staff dealing with the patients may, as a result, overlook preemptive measures that could stop a suicide event.
