Background: The development of numerous atheromatous plaques often compromises the long-term patency of a LIMA to LAD in patients with diffuse LAD disease, making it difficult to attain full myocardial revascularization using traditional bypass procedures. Reconstructing such LAD, has been proposed as a surgical solution. aims: to assess and compare the early surgical results of left anterior descending coronary artery reconstructional patch-plasty using the left internal mammary artery onlay patch technique and the saphenous vein graft patch alongside LIMA anastomosed to the patch technique among individuals with diffusely diseased LAD coronary artery. Patients and methods: this prospective study involves sixty …

Background: Patients with ischemic heart disease undergo coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) procedures; many modifications, including as the anastomosing technique, have been introduced to improve long-term clinical outcomes.

Aim of Study: In order to assess the effectiveness and results of sequential grafting for multiple coronary artery bypass.

Patients and Methods: It is a prospective, randomized study, conducted from April 2021 to June 2022 at Cardiothoracic Surgery Departments, Al-Azhar University Hospitals, Egypt, in Cairo. 40 patients with multi-vessel coronary artery disease were among the 40 patients who were ready for sequential CABG. Background:After their insertion, prosthetic valves—either mechanical or biological—have some drawbacks. There are many challenging events that lead to dysfunction of prothesis, such as formation of a thrombus or pannus, para-valvular leakage, and developing cardiac infections after the prosthesis, like endocarditis. Objective:to assess factors that are responsible for malfunction of prosthetic cardiac valves;in addition, assessment of post-operative mortality and morbidity of those patients. Patient and methods:In this prospective study, we followed up the early results of surgical intervention in 40 patients with malfunction prosthetic cardiac valves at the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department, El-Hussien Hospital, Al-Azhar University;the follow-up timespan was from March 2019 …
