Background: During the emergence and rise of COVID-19, precaution directives and limitations on in-person eye examinations re-routed a significant portion of care to telemedicine and virtual modalities. While these technologies allowed for healthcare communications that otherwise could not occur during such trying times, there are major limitations to these sanctioned applications. This report will present a seemingly benign case that could have easily been re-routed from an in-person examination to a telemedicine version due to the patient’s seemingly “routine” vision complaints.

Acute invasive fungal rhinosinusitis (AIFRS) is a rare but fatal disease, particularly in immune-compromised patients, including those with hematological malignancies, poorly controlled diabetes mellitus (DM), and those who received immunosuppressive treatment following organ transplantation or chemotherapy for solid organ malignancies. Mortality rates remain high, around 50-80%, though some recent studies have shown higher survival rates with early diagnosis and complete surgical resection. Background:

India has a top status among world countries, related to the COVID-19 mortality that had crossed the 3-lakh level. The second wave of COVID19 had ravaged the world countries, created havoc of the highest order, leaving many hapless, thanks to the low availability of oxygen, ICU facilities, vaccines and counselling prospects.

There is a lack of information about how COVID-19 vaccines have affected mortality in specific geographic areas.
