Shingles is a prevalent disease within the overall population, and incidence in North America continues to increase. Shingles is commonly found in older adults 60 years of age and older and can recur two or three times. Shingrix was released in 2017 as a recombinant vaccine for prevention of shingles. Despite its benefits, this vaccine has not been recommended by many prescribing providers. Research has shown that an effective education program improves attitudes and misconceptions related to vaccines and can increase prescribing rates. Equitable learning opportunities are critical to the goals of science education. However, major curriculum standards are vague on how to achieve equity goals, and educators must often develop their own resources and strategies to achieve equity goals. Background

Although dysmenorrhea is not a life-threatening condition, it can cause a substantial burden on individuals and communities. There is no data on the prevalence of dysmenorrhea in Kuwait. This study aimed to estimate the prevalence of dysmenorrhea among female public high-school students in Kuwait and investigate factors associated with dysmenorrhea.

Methods

A cross-sectional study using multistage cluster sampling with probability proportional to size method was conducted on 763 twelfth grade female public high-school students (aged 16–21 years).
