Comparative Study Of Implant Stability And Bone Height Changes Among Different Implant Designs Retaining Partial Overdenture, Fardos N. Rizk Jul 2015

Comparative Study Of Implant Stability And Bone Height Changes Among Different Implant Designs Retaining Partial Overdenture, Fardos N. Rizk

Dentistry

Objective: This study was conducted to assess the primary stability of Trabecular Metal Dental Implant and Tapered Screw Vent Implant to determine the appropriate time for their loading by lower partial overdenture and to follow up for one year the changes in implant stability and crestal bone height surrounding the implant after loading it. Materials and Methods: The study was performed on ten lower Kennedy class I partially edentulous male patients. Each patient received one implant at the second molar area in each side of the ridge, where Trabecular Metal Dental Implant was inserted in the left side of the …

Radiographic Evaluation Of Accuracy Of Surgical Stent For Implant Placement In Knife Edge Posterior Mandibular Ridge In Cases Of Ridge Splitting, Fardos N. Rizk, Engy Abdelhamed Jul 2014

Radiographic Evaluation Of Accuracy Of Surgical Stent For Implant Placement In Knife Edge Posterior Mandibular Ridge In Cases Of Ridge Splitting, Fardos N. Rizk, Engy Abdelhamed

Dentistry

Aim: This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of using conventional surgical stents guided by cone beam computed tomography in determining the position and buccolingual inclination of implants placed in posterior mandibular knife edge ridge in cases of ridge splitting with and without bone grafting material. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on sixteen implants placed bilaterally in posterior knife edge mandibular ridge of four patients, where each patient received four implants in the form of two in each side. Implants on the right side of the ridge were placed following ridge splitting and bone grafting (group A). …

Effect Of Two Different Attachments On The Supporting Structures And Masticatory Capacity Of Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture, Fardos N. Rizk Apr 2014

Effect Of Two Different Attachments On The Supporting Structures And Masticatory Capacity Of Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture, Fardos N. Rizk

Dentistry

Aim: This study was conducted to compare the effect of ball and socket attachment and GPS attachment in implant retained mandibular overdenture cases regarding changes in: crestal bone height and density surrounding implants, electromyographic activity of temporalis and masseter muscles and occlusal biting force. Materials and Methods: Following two stage surgical protocol twelve completely edentulous patients received two implants placed bilaterally in the canine region (24 implants) to retain mandibular overdenture. Four months following the surgery patients were randomly divided into two equal groups; Group-I received ball and socket attachment while Group-II received GPS attachment upon which mandibular overdentures were …

Radiographic Evaluation Of Marginal Bone Levels Around Platform-Switched Implants And Non-Platform-Switched Implants Immediately Loaded To Support Mandibular Overdenture, Fardos N. Rizk, Eatmad Elrekaby Apr 2013

Radiographic Evaluation Of Marginal Bone Levels Around Platform-Switched Implants And Non-Platform-Switched Implants Immediately Loaded To Support Mandibular Overdenture, Fardos N. Rizk, Eatmad Elrekaby

Dentistry

Objective: This clinical study was conducted to assess the marginal bone level around two different types of implant abutment junctions which are the platform-switched connection and non-platform- switched connection used in cases of implants supporting mandibular overdentures following the immediate loading protocol. Materials and Methods: Twelve completely edentulous male patients were randomly divided into two equal groups: Group I: Each patient received two Legacy I Implants designed with internal bevel having 3.5mm implant platform diameter to which 3.5mm neck diameter healing collars were threaded creating a matching or non-platform switching mechanism at the implant abutment junction. Group II: Each patient …

Comparative Study Of Ot Equator Profile Attachment Versus Gps Attachment In Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture Cases, Fardos N. Rizk Jan 2012

Comparative Study Of Ot Equator Profile Attachment Versus Gps Attachment In Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture Cases, Fardos N. Rizk

Dentistry

Aim: This study was carried out to evaluate whether OT Equator Profi le attachment or GPS attachment is less destructive to crestal bone around implants and to bone in distal aspect of the ridge in implant retained mandibular overdenture cases. Materials and Methods: Following two stage surgical protocol twelve completely edentulous patients received two implants placed bilaterally in the canine region (24 implants) to retain mandibular overdentures. Four months following the surgery patients were randomly divided into two equal groups; Group-I received OT Equator Profi le attachment while Group-II received GPS attachment upon which mandibular overdentures were retained. Once patients …
