Introduction: The accuracy of intraoral scanners (IOSs) in capturing a Biologically Oriented Preparation Technique (BOPT) remains uncertain. The aim of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of digital impressions obtained with three intraoral scanners for recording BOPT preparations.

Methods: A maxillary central incisor was prepared following BOPT. After temporization, a conventional polyvinyl siloxane impression was scanned with a desktop scanner to obtain a reference model. Objective: This study evaluated the impact of home and over-the-counter (OTC) bleaching products, compliant with SCCS regulations, on color changes in tea-stained supra-nano filled composite, using the CIEDE2000 formula.

Methods: One hundred Estelite® Sigma Quick discs were fabricated, thermocycled, and tea-stained for 12 days. Samples were divided into four groups: Opalescence 15% carbamide peroxide (CP) gel, White Dental Beauty 6% hydrogen peroxide (HP) strips, Pola Luminate 6% HP brush-on gel, and a control. Color was measured at baseline, post-staining, and post-bleaching using a VITA EasyShade spectrophotometer. ΔE₀₀ values were analyzed with Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn’s post-hoc tests (p < 0.05).

Guided endodontic access has been proposed to improve efficiency and precision. This case report describes the prosthodontic rehabilitation of a geriatric patient with generalized aggressive periodontitis. The patient was advised to for full extraction. An implant supported hybrid prosthesis with multi-unit abutments was fabricated for the patient who chose a fixed kind of prosthesis. Implants were placed in the maxillary & mandibular arch. Frameworks were waxed, plastic castable abutments were used for casting, denture teeth were waxed to the hybrid framework and a final wax try-in to check and adjust the maxilla-mandibular relationships before processing, the prosthesis was placed. The clinical and radiologic results met expectations.

Objectives: The goal of this study was to assess the newly formed bone and the remnant biomaterial by comparing four different bone grafts used to treat critical-size defects, associated or not with the non-resorbable membrane.

Materials and methods: Two calvaria critical-size bone defects were created in 50 male Wistar rats. They were divided into blood (G1), autogenous (G2), bioglass (G3), hydroxyapatite (G4), and xenograft (G5) groups, associated or not with e-PTFE. The experimental periods were 15 and 45 days. Sections were prepared for histomorphometric assessment. All data were analyzed by the mixed-effects model with multiple comparisons (significance level, p < .05).

Methods: One hundred extracted molar teeth were divided into groups according to ICDAS-II classification, and scanned with Cerec Omnicam (Dentsply Sirona) and iTero Element Flex (Align Technology). The caries-infected tissues were removed regarding either minimally invasive or conventional cavity principles. The mechanical properties and clinical performance of Turkom-Cera system were evaluated in this study. The mechanical properties evaluated were; flexural strength, microhardness, shear bond strength, fracture resistance and marginal integrity. The biaxial flexural strength and hardness of Turkom-Cera compared to two other allceramic systems (In-Ceram and Vitadur-N) were investigated. The Turkom-Cera exhibited significantly higher flexural strength (506.8 MPa) than In-Ceram (347.4 MPa) and Vitadur-N (128.7 MPa) ceramic materials. However, In-Ceram core has significantly higher hardness (1116.2 VHN) than Turkom-Cera (1002.1 VHN) and Vitadur-N (812.8 VHN) all-ceramic materials.
