Background: This study aimed to evaluate variations in maxillary and sinus morphology and their correlations with skeletal malocclusion patterns using CBCT.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed CBCT records of 70 subjects aged 17–40 years, divided into three groups: Skeletal Class I (N = 25), Class II (N = 25), and Class III (N = 20). Five maxillary skeletal and four sinus parameters were assessed. Intergroup comparisons were performed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Tukey’s post hoc test. The replacement of multiple teeth with dental implants in the posterior maxilla is challenging due to factors including low density bone and sinus morphology. When considering restoration of this region, prosthetic design will dictate implant placement. Additionally, planning must consider spacing between adjacent implants, spacing between implants and adjacent teeth, and irregular alveolar ridge morphology. These key measurements translate to the final prosthesis design and will affect cleanability and future oral hygiene maintenance. These characteristics subsequently affect overall longevity of the implants and prosthesis.

OBJECTIVES: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are often prescribed following the placement of dental implants, but the effects of these drugs on the osseointegration process are poorly understood. We designed a randomized, placebo-controlled pilot study to quantitatively assess the effect of NSAIDs during early implant osseointegration.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Subjects receiving a maxillary dental implant were randomized to take naproxen or placebo for 7 days after the surgery. Implant osseointegration was quantified using Resonance Frequency Analysis device. Aim: The aim of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of three-dimensional bone augmentation in maxillary atrophied alveolar ridges by comparing the utilization of bone marrow aspirate concentrate along with a mix of autograft and xenograft versus autograft and xenograft alone. utilizing patient-specific titanium meshes. Subjects and methods: Ten patients experiencing severe vertical and horizontal deficiencies in the entire maxillary arch underwent guided bone regeneration. Dental implantation is an increasingly common procedure used to treat missing teeth. However, surgical drilling to place the implant poses a high risk of injury to critical anatomy, such as inferior alveolar nerve injury or maxillary sinus perforation. A real-time surgical feedback system sensing proximity of these critical anatomy could reduce injury risks. This dissertation investigates the development of such a system that incorporates an electrical impedance sensor into the tip of a surgical drill.

Objective
This study was designed to evaluate the retromolar as a new donor site and its ability to augment the alveolar ridge horizontal and/or vertical defects prior to implant placement.
Method
Twelve patients were selected for future implant placement after anterior maxillary ridge augmentation. CBCTs were performed preoperative, immediate postoperative and 6 months postoperative. Non-syndromic orofacial clefts encompass a range of morphological changes affecting the oral cavity and the craniofacial skeleton, of which the genetic and epigenetic etiologic factors remain largely unknown. The objective of this study is to explore the contribution of underlying dentofacial deformities (also known as skeletal malocclusions) in the craniofacial morphology of non-syndromic cleft lip and palate patients (nsCLP).
