Objective: This study evaluated the effect of deep marginal elevation (DME) using an ion-releasing material, resin-modified glass ionomer, and nano-hybrid flowable composite on the fracture resistance of molars with Class II MOD cavities restored with CAD/CAM ceramic onlays. Materials and Methods: Fifty molar teeth were randomly assigned to one of five groups (n=10/group): Enamel (EN), Cementum (CE), Cention forte (CF), Tetric-N flow (TF), and Resin modified glass ionomer (RM) groups. Many advanced cancer models, such as patient-derived xenografts (PDXs), offer significant benefits in their preservation of the native tumor's heterogeneity and susceptibility to treatments, but face significant barriers to use in their reliance on a rodent host for propagation and screening. PDXs remain difficult to implement in vitro, particularly in configurations that enable both detailed cellular analysis and high-throughput screening (HTS). The oral microbiome is an important predictor of health and disease. We recently reported significant yet modest effects of HIV under highly active antiretroviral therapy (ART) on the oral microbiome (bacterial and fungal) in a large cohort of HIV-positive (HIV+) and matched HIV-negative (HIV-) individuals. Objective: To assess the location and anatomical character of lingual foramina using CBCT. Materials and Methods:CBCT records of 108 patients were evaluated to detect the presence, location, size, and number of lingual foraminausing axial, and cross sectional images. Results: A total of 463 lingual foramina (representing 100% of all patients)were found. Individuals had between one and eight lingual foraminaon their jaw, with the majority of cases having four(24.1%). Regarding the size; 336 (72.7%) were ≤1 mm and 127 (27.3%) were >1 mm. OBJECTIVE: Studies with statistically significant results are frequently more likely to be published than those with non-significant results. This phenomenon leads to publication bias or small-study effects and can seriously affect the validity of the conclusion from systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Small-study effects typically appear in a specific direction, depending on whether the outcome of interest is beneficial or harmful, but this direction is rarely taken into account in conventional methods.

Background: Survivors of childhood cancer are at risk for therapy-related dental diseases. The purpose of the study was to investigate the associations between clinical, socioeconomic, and demographic factors and oral diseases in the St. Jude Lifetime Cohort (SJLIFE) participants.

Methods: We performed a retrospective medical chart review and evaluated longitudinal self-reported dental outcomes in 4856 childhood cancer survivors and 591 community controls participating in the St. Jude Lifetime Cohort (SJLIFE) study. Univariate and multivariable logistic regression models were used to assess the impact of socioeconomic factors, treatment exposures and patient demographics on dental outcomes.
