The Use Of Dietary Supplements Among Division Ii Collegiate Athletes, Ariel M. Fralick

The purpose of the present study was to incorporate the Theory of Reasoned Action into the examination of Division 11 collegiate athletes and the consumption of dietary supplements. The areas that were analyzed consisted of gender differences and sport differences based on the three subscales of behavioral intentions, attitudes toward behavior, and subjective norms in the SPAADSU (Perko, 1999). Results revealed that males scored significantly lower than females on the subscales of attitude towards behavior and subjective norms.
