Background: This study explores the association between physical therapist satisfaction in a rehabilitation private practice and perceptions of altruism and social responsibility in the workplace. Small private, for-profit businesses like therapy practices often embrace altruistic values and socially responsible cultures driven by close stakeholder relationships. Alignment between business culture and personal values is a stronger predictor of workplace and career satisfaction. Employees who perceive value alignment report higher job satisfaction and relatedness. The vast majority of patients exposed to coronavirus (COVID-19) were likely to face complications during their recovery from coronavirus. The first case was an old Thai woman presented with severe COVID-19 pneumonia. The other was an old Thai man presented with COVID-19 with complications such as acute respiratory distress syndrome, hyperglycemia, thrombocytopenia, right tension pneumothorax with recurrent pneumothorax and monoparesis. These two cases presented the role of physical therapy for critically ill elderly patients with chest complications from COVID-19.

Introduction. The Philippine Journal of Physical Therapy began publication in 2021. The editorial board identified as a high-priority project to undertake a detailed analysis of current publishing practice among physical therapy researchers in the Philippines.

Methods. This study systematically mined publications from Web of Science, Scopus and PubMed using the keywords “physical therapy” OR “physiotherapy” OR “physical therapist” OR “physiotherapist.” Results were further refined to only include English publications by authors from the Philippines. Publication, citation, collaboration, and text-co-occurrence network analysis were done using RStudio and VOSViewer.

Lacking a cohesive definition in the physiotherapy literature, it is also lacking in implementation. Employing interpretive description with semi-structured interviews, the goal was to understand how physiotherapists drawn from private for-profit clinics in Canada describe PCC, and barriers and facilitators to providing it. Introduction: Inclusion of interprofessional education (IPE) in academia is required by education accreditation agencies for occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy (PT) in the United States. Limited information is available on models of IPE to guide faculty. The purpose of this pilot study was to determine the feasibility of implementing a recently designed IPE model with OT and PT graduate students. Progress is typically assessed through functional outcome measures such as the 10-meter or 6-minute walk tests1. OBJECTIVES: The objectives of our study were to (1) determine if physical therapy (PT) impacts patient-reported outcomes (PROMs) after lumbar decompression surgery and (2) determine if PT impacts postsurgical readmissions or reoperations after lumbar decompression surgery.

METHODS: Patients >18 years of age who underwent primary one‑ or two‑level lumbar decompression at our institution were identified. Patient demographics, surgical characteristics, surgical outcomes (all‑cause 90 days readmissions and 90 days surgical readmissions), and patient‑reported outcomes (PROMs) were compared between the groups.
