The purpose of this quality improvement project was to reduce hospital resource utilization and improve health outcomes for children with asthma by providing an evidence-based, interdisciplinary education and service bundle to patients and families admitted to a Children’s Hospital in Northern New Jersey with a primary diagnosis of asthma. The 2020 Asthma Management Guidelines published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (2020), the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) and a modified systematic review identified common themes among children at risk for asthma-related morbidity and mortality and high hospital resource utilization. Recovery is crucial to restore physiological and psychological functioning yet is underappreciated. Compared to other sports, research related to ultra-endurance is limited, and a gap in research exists on effective recovery modalities and duration for ultrarunners. Background: Acute hematogenous osteomyelitis (AHO) can be associated with severe complications which can be difficult to predict in the clinical setting. The previously published predictive acute complication score ("A-SCORE") and chronic complication score ("C-SCORE") show promise, however, further external validation is needed.

Individuals between 15 to 24 years are considered a ‘higher risk’ for developing new STIs than other age groups. Method: IRB approved this survey analysis study. The Modified Maryland TH Readiness Assessment Tool (mMTRAT) was distributed by email to all licensed PTs and PTAs in California in October 2020. Clinical leadership behaviors have not been studied in athletic training; therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate athletic trainers’ frequency of demonstrating these behaviors. Method: Participates completed an electronically distributed survey consisting of demographic variables, the Clinical Leadership Survey (CLS), and the Global Rating of Clinical Leadership Scale (GRCLS). Purpose: To assess balance, plyometric performance, and strength of recreational runners completing a neuromuscular training (NMT) program on a novel foam surface. Methods: After baseline testing, participants (n=14) completed 22-minute exercise sessions on foam twice weekly for eight weeks, and a post-training testing battery. Testing included lower quarter Y-balance test (LQYBT), dynamic leap and balance test (DLBT), squat jump and countermovement jump tests, and isometric strength testing of the foot and ankle via handheld dynamometry (HHD). Purpose: The design, usability, safety, and feasibility of a telehealth protocol comprising teleassessment and tele rehabilitation to evaluate and improve physical and cognitive function among older adults was assessed. Methods: Healthy older adults (n=23) participated in a pre-post tele-assessment of a 4-week (3 sessions/week) telerehabilitation session. Tele-assessment was performed to evaluate balance, gait function, and cognition. Tele-rehabilitation sessions comprised of balance games, dancing, dual-tasking, yoga, and tai-chi exercises. Currently, there is little research on how the pro-bono clinic impacts the community members involved. The purpose of this study was to examine outcomes following discharge from a pro bono clinic held through an entry-level physical therapy program.
