MOVE Inclusive Dance is a nonprofit organization that empowers individuals of all ability levels to learn life skills through dance. The aim of this project was to create a full-scale professional development program for special education teachers to learn how to incorporate movement into their classrooms. Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) often leads to cognitive impairments, which can significantly affect recovery outcomes. Although there are many different interventions available for individuals with mTBI, evidence-based research has indicated that cognitive rehabilitation programs can lead to significant improvement in psychological symptoms as well as psychosocial and vocational functioning in mTBI. Additionally, clinical research has identified a construct, self-efficacy, or the belief in one's capacity to achieve goals, that may play a critical role in further improving cognitive rehabilitation outcomes. This study aimed to examine the efficacy of literacy intervention in first and second-grade at-risk readers at an after-school program, CityYouth Ministries, in Jonesboro, AR. It was hypothesized that if children at risk for literacy difficulties receive literacy intervention at an after-school program, they would have better reading outcomes, narrowing the gap in academic achievement. Introduction: The pancreas is surrounded by several critical organs, making it challenging to treat with external beam radiation therapy (EBRT). Previous studies have shown that applying biological constraints, such as the generalized equivalent uniform dose (gEUD), to organs at risk (OARs) can effectively reduce the radiation dose to these structures. This study evaluated whether adding a target gEUD constraint to the planning target volume (PTV) would improve target coverage in patients with pancreatic cancer.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a significant health concern in the United States, ranking third in incidence and mortality among all cancers. Despite established screening guidelines, adherence often falls short in primary care settings. This quality improvement project aimed to enhance CRC screening rates in a Midwest primary care practice through implementation of a standardized screening protocol. The goal of this project was to promote participation in preferred leisure activities, including pickleball, golf, and hiking, and provide education to care partners. Background/Objective: Children with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) are at increased risk of malnutrition due to restrictive dietary patterns and behavioral difficulties at mealtimes. Research suggests that heightened sensory sensitivity, a characteristic accompanying several of these disorders, may be a contributing factor. However, the effects of sensory sensitivity on nutritional outcomes across distinct NDDs have not been fully explored. This review aims to examine the relationship between sensory sensitivity and nutritional status, food preferences, and eating behaviors in children with NDDs, specifically investigating how atypical sensory processing might influence dietary intake.

Background: Myosin Vb (Myo5b) is an essential molecular motor responsible for delivering diverse cargo to the apical membrane of enterocytes. Mutations in Myo5b cause congenital enteropathies, but its broader role in maintaining the integrity of the intestinal brush border under normal physiological conditions and in disease remain unclear. We hypothesize that Myo5b participates in the assembly and maintenance of the intestinal brush border by transporting members of the intermicrovillar adhesion complex (IMAC) and the xenobiotic efflux pump P-glycoprotein (P-gp) to the apical membrane of enterocytes. Socioeconomic disparities often correlate with lower voter participation, potentially leading to underrepresentation of disadvantaged communities in policy decisions. Lower voter participation has been partly attributed to restrictive voting laws. In 2023, Michigan enacted legislation to expand voting rights, driven by a citizen-initiated ballot proposal that was overwhelmingly supported by Michiganders. The law expanded absentee voting, required statewide early in-person voting, protected voting rights of military members, and expanded options for providing photo ID to vote. Characterized by high blood pressure, proteinuria, thrombocytopenia, increased liver enzymes, and affecting the arteries carrying blood to the placenta, preeclampsia affects the health of both the mother and the fetus. While iron supplementation is a standard intervention, dietary sources of iron may offer a sustainable alternative. Michigan's recent voting rights expansion aims to increase accessibility and participation. This study examined the relationship between county-level poverty and voter turnout and assesses the impact of expanded voting rights on turnout in Michigan's poorest counties. We conducted a retrospective analysis comparing voter turnout data from the 2020 and 2024 elections, obtained from the Michigan Secretary of State website.
