Non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) have widely been used in patients but side-effects associated with NSAID are also common. Tarantula cubensisextract (TCE) is an antiphlogistic, demarcative, homeopathic and necrotizing drug with wound healing effects in farm animals. In this study, the possible protective effect of red radish containing total phenolic content and antioxidant components on histopathological and immuno histochemical active caspase-3, TNF-α and Iba-1, serum ALT activity, triglyceride, total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, liver malondialdehyde (MDA) and nitric oxide (NO) levels were evaluated in CCl4induced liver injury in Wistar rats. The present study determined the possible protective effect of pumpkin seed oil (PSO) on histopathological changes in liver tissue and serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) activity, glucose, Non-Esterified Fatty Acids (NEFA) and triglyceride (TG) levels on chronic liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) in rats. A total of 80 Wistar rats were divided into eight groups of ten rats each: the first group served as the control, group II was given intraperitoneal 0.2 mL/kg CCl4, twice a week for 8 weeks.
