Background : Genetic polymorphisms of protein transporters can alter the pharmacokineticsand pharmacodynamics of several substrate drugs including antiretrovirals(ARVs). The polymorphisms of ABCB1 and SLCO1B1 have been investigatedin Caucasian and some of Asian populations.
