Conservative management in chronic hypertensive women superimposed with preeclampsia poses a threat of grave maternal complications, but may not improve perinatal survivals particularly in cases with preeclampsia in early gestations. This report presents a case of surviving baby after expectant management although the pregnancy complicated with superimposed preeclampsia at the onset of pre-viable gestational age. A 35-year-old Thai pregnant woman, underlying with pregestational diabetes mellitus class F and chronic hypertension, was diagnosed as superimposed preeclampsia at 22 weeks of gestation. Cognitive rehabilitation is a treatment to assist patients who have sustained cognitive, emotional and behavioral impairment. The process is aimed to help the cognitive impaired individuals to progress to the most possible independent level of function. Regardless of specific treatment used, the patients are likely need to have comprehensive neuropsychological assessment performed. This will help them to understand the strengths and weakness of the patient and this becomes the starting point for designing a program to fit in for the patients. The treatment typically involves four therapeutic modalities, namely; reality orientation therapy, cognitive stimulus therapy, compensation methods and psychotherapy.

Problem/background : The incidence of patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) has been increasing and the complications related to hemodialysis vascular access is the cause of prolonged hospitalization. The most common complication after vascular access is venous thrombosis. There are two effectively interventional treatment procedures of central venous obstruction; (1) Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) and (2) endovascular stent placement. Background and Rationale : Colorectal cancer is a common malignancy of the gastrointestinal tract. In Thailand, colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in males and fifth most common in females. Incidence rate of colorectal cancer has been rising in Thailand. Pathologic staging is the gold standard for colorectal cancer. However, it is followed by post-operative procedure. Computed tomography (CT) is noninvasive and preoperative assessment. Objective : To assess the effectiveness of routine use of peak flow meter (PFM) in addition to symptom-based guided self-management of children with asthma. Asians, in general, are more conservative about sexual and reproduction-related issues than individuals from Western countries. These conservative attitudes often lead to reticence to communicate about sexual and reproductive issues, hindering attempts to promote sex education or contraceptive knowledge, which can heighten the risk for sexually transmitted disease, unintended pregnancy, induced abortion, and emotional problems.
