การกระตุ้นรังไข่ในลูกโคด้วยฮอร์โมน เอฟ เอส เอช ซ้ำหลายครั้ง, รังสี อดุลยานุภาพ, มงคล เตชะกำพุ, ชัยณรงค์ โลหชิต
การกระตุ้นรังไข่ในลูกโคด้วยฮอร์โมน เอฟ เอส เอช ซ้ำหลายครั้ง, รังสี อดุลยานุภาพ, มงคล เตชะกำพุ, ชัยณรงค์ โลหชิต

ทำการกระตุ้นรังไข่ลูกโคพื้นเมืองไทยอายุ 4-6 เดือน จำนวน 10 ตัว ด้วยฮอร์โมน เอฟ เอส เอช ขนาด 192 มก. (NIH-FSH-P1) โดยฉีดเข้ากล้ามทุก 12 ชม. ติดต่อกัน 4 วัน (32/32,24/24,24/24,16/16) ในวัน สุดท้ายของการฉีดกระตุ้น ฉีดฮอร์โมนฮิวแมนคอริโอนิก โกนาโดโทรปิน (เอช ซี จี) ขนาด 500 ไอยู 24 ชม. ต่อมาดูดเก็บโอโอไซต์ด้วยการเปิดผ่าช่องท้องหลังทําให้ลูกโคสลบด้วยไทโอเพนโตน โซเดียม จากนั้นทำการทดลองฉีดฮอร์โมนกระตุ้นซ้ำ ครั้งที่ 2, 3 และ 4 ห่างกันครั้งละ 6-8 สัปดาห์ แบ่งโอโอไซต์ออกเป็น 2 ชนิดคือ โอโอไซต์ที่เจริญพร้อมปฏิสนธิและโอโอไซต์ที่เจริญไม่พร้อมปฏิสนธิ จากการศึกษาพบว่าค่าเฉลี่ยของการ ตอบสนองของรังไข่จากการฉีดกระตุ้นซ้ำ 4 ครั้งมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 32.2±3.0 ใบ/ครั้ง/ตัว และมีแนวโน้มลดลง จากการกระตุ้นครั้งแรกจนถึงครั้งที่ 4 (P<0.05) เท่ากับ 46.1±8.8, 28.6±3.6, 26.4±3.5 และ 27.7±5.1ใบ/ครั้ง/ตัว ตามลำดับ จำนวนโอโอไซต์ที่เก็บได้ทั้งหมด เท่ากับ 704 ใบจาก 1,274 ฟอลลิเคิล เฉลี่ย 17.6+1.8 ใบ/ครั้ง/ตัว คิดเป็นอัตราการเก็บโอโอไซต์ เท่ากับ 55.2% โดยมีแนวโน้มลดลงจากการเก็บครั้งแรกจนถึงครั้งที่ 4 (P<0.05) 23±5.0, 16.8±3.0, 15.2±1.5 15.4±3.6 ใบ/ครั้ง/ตัว ตามลำดับ ผลการศึกษาแสดงว่าสามารถฉีดกระตุ้นรังไข่ ลูกโคพื้นเมืองไทยก่อนวัยเจริญพันธุ์ได้ด้วยฮอร์โมนโกนาโดโทรปินได้หลายครั้ง ทั้งสามารถเก็บโอโอไซต์ได้ผลดีโดยวิธีการเปิดผ่าช่องท้อง

รายงานการรักษาโรคเนื้องอกของ meibomian gland ในสุนัขจำนวน 25 ตัว ด้วยวิธี cryosurgery โดยการ freeze และ thaw 2 ครั้ง ๆ ละ 30 วินาที หลังจากการผ่าตัดด้วยการจี้ด้วยความเย็น สุนัขทุกตัวหาย จากโรคโดยไม่พบอาการผิดปกติที่หนังตา และไม่พบกลับเป็นขึ้นมาใหม่อีก แต่ผิวหนังบริเวณนั้นมีสีเปลี่ยนแปลงไป

โรคสมองฟ้ามหรือโคบ้า (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy, BSE) เป็นโรคระบาดร้ายแรงที่เกิดขึ้นในสหราชอาณาจักรเป็น ส่วนใหญ่ ทำความเสียหายทางเศรษฐกิจอย่างมหาศาล จำเป็นต้องทําลายโคถึง 1 ล้านตัวเพื่อกำจัด BSE ให้หมดไป ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น BSE อาจ เป็นอันตรายแก่สุขภาพและชีวิตมนุษย์ด้วย BSE เป็นโรคหนึ่งในกลุ่ม transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs) โดยมี prion protein เป็นสารก่อโรคที่ทําความเสียหายแก่ระบบประสาท และทำให้คนหรือสัตว์ตายในที่สุด พบเนื้อสมองทั้งส่วน cerebrum และ cerebellum เป็นรูพรุน และอาจพบ plaques และ scrapie-associated fibrils (SAF) ในเนื้อสมองด้วย การศึกษาทางระบาดวิทยาชี้แนะว่าการแพร่ของ BSE เกิดจากโคกินอาหารที่มีสารก่อโรคปนเปื้อนอยู่ และการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ไม่เหมาะสมในกระบวนการแปรรูปโปรตีนจากซากสัตว์ เพื่อใช้เป็น อาหารเลี้ยงโคก็ช่วยเพิ่มปัจจัยเสี่ยงต่อการกระจายโรค BSE ด้วย prion protein อาจสะสมอยู่ในเลือด เส้นประสาทหรือระบบน้ำเหลืองของโคที่ เป็น BSE ก่อนที่จะกระจายไปสู่ระบบประสาทส่วนกลาง แต่เดิมพบเฉพาะสมอง ไขสันหลังและจอตาเท่านั้นที่ก่อให้เกิดโรค BSE ได้ ขณะนี้ กำลังรอผลที่ Spongiform Encephalopathy Advisory Committee (SEAC) ดำเนินการให้ตรวจเนื้อ น้ำนม อวัยวะระบบน้ำเหลืองจาก โคที่เป็น BSE โดยใช้ลูกโคเป็นสัตว์ทดลอง ซึ่งมีความไวกว่าการฉีดสารก่อโรคเข้าหนู mice ถึง 1,000 เท่า รายงานนี้ได้รวบรวมเหตุการณ์สำคัญ ระบาดวิทยา มาตรการควบคุมกำจัดและป้องกันโรค BSE และวิธีการตรวจวินิจฉัยโรคด้วยวิธีต่าง ๆ รวมทั้งแนวความคิดในการรักษา TSES ในอนาคตไว้ด้วย Creutzfeldt-Jakob's Disease (CJD) เป็นโรคเกี่ยวกับระบบประสาทในคนและเป็นโรคหนึ่งในกลุ่ม TSEs พบว่า new variant CJD (nvCJD) มีรอยโรคและอาการเฉพาะต่างไปจาก CJD เมื่อใช้เทคนิค Western …

ทำการสำรวจความชุกของการติดเชื้อไวรัสไข้สมองอักเสบโดยการตรวจแอนติบอดี้ต่อเชื้อไวรัสไข้ สมองอักเสบในซีรั่มสุกรพ่อแม่พันธุ์ ลูกสุกร และสุกรขุน ซึ่งสุ่มตรวจจากฟาร์มสุกรในเขตภาคกลางและภาค ตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของประเทศไทยรวมทั้งจังหวัดชลบุรีและประจวบคีรีขันธ์จำนวน 32 ฟาร์ม รวม 967 ตัวอย่างตั้งแต่ช่วงเดือนมกราคมถึงเดือนธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2538 พบสุกรกลุ่มพ่อแม่พันธุ์ที่มีแอนติบอดี้บ่งบอก อัตราการสัมผัสเชื้อไวรัส หรือความชุกของการติดเชื้อไวรัสดังกล่าวเฉลี่ยในช่วง 4 เดือนของฤดูกาล คือ พฤศจิกายน-กุมภาพันธ์ (ฤดูหนาว) มีนาคม-มิถุนายน ฤดูร้อน) และกรกฎาคม-ตุลาคม ฤดูฝน) เป็น 91.67%, 97.57% และ 99.25% ตามลำดับ ซึ่งระดับฮีแมกลูติเนชั่น-อินฮิบิชั่น แอนติบอดี้มีฐานนิยมอยู่ที่ 640 ใน แต่ละฟาร์มพบอัตราความชุกได้ตั้งแต่ 73.34%-100% โดยมีการกระจายของสุกรที่ตรวจพบแอนติบอดี้ส่วน ใหญ่อยู่ในแม่สุกรหลายท้อง ในกลุ่มลูกสุกรดูดนมและสุกรหลังหย่านม พบสุกรที่ตรวจพบแอนติบอดี้ จำนวน 95.49% และ 63.08% โดยมีฐานนิยมที่ 320 และ 10 ตามลำดับ ข้อมูลดังกล่าวแสดงถึงความชุก ของการติดเชื้อไวรัสไข้สมองอักเสบที่ปรากฎในพื้นที่ที่มีการเลี้ยงสุกรหนาแน่นดังกล่าวในปี พ.ศ. 2538

จากการนำม้าน้ำ (Hippocampus kuda) จำนวน 55 ตัวอย่างซึ่งมีอายุตั้งแต่ 3 เดือนถึง 1 ปีที่เลี้ยงใน ห้องปฏิบัติการ มาศึกษาเพื่อหาสาเหตุของโรคที่ทําให้ม้าน้ำป่วยและตาย พบว่าเกิดเนื่องจากแบคทีเรีย แกรมลบในสกุลวิบริโอเป็นส่วนใหญ่ เช่น V. alginolyticus, V. anguillarum, V. fluvialis และ V. vulnificus รวมทั้งเชื้อวิบริโอชนิดอื่น ๆ โดยโรคจากแบคทีเรียในกลุ่มนี้ จะสามารถทําให้ม้าน้ำตายได้อย่างรวดเร็วครั้งละหลายตัว

A comparative study of the Rose Bengal test (RBT), Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) and complement fixation test (CFT) was performed to analyze sera of two Awassi flocks. Flock A was composed of 215 ewes, naturally infected with brucellosis. None of the animals were vaccinated. Flock B consisted of 336 non-infected non-vaccinated ewes. In this study, the parameters of the regression models for the lactation curve were estimated. A total of 45 standard milk yield records obtained from the first, the second and the third lactations of Jersey bred in Karaköy State Farm were used in the present study. An investigation was made on the gonadosomatic index (GSI) and egg diameter of the specimens of the Common Carp ( Cyprinus carpio) caugth from Çildir Lake in the period of 1991-93. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of silicon on body weights and metabolisms of broilers. Therefore, day-old 30 broiler chicks were parted to 2 groups (15 control group and 15 experimental group). In order to provide uniqe insight into the metabolic disturbences seen after calving cholesterol, triglycerid, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, very low density lipoprotein, glucose and insulin levels in serum were studied before calving (group I), in aerly (group II) and late (group III) lactation in 24 normal cows. Serum lipoproteins were separeted into various density classes by repeated ultracentrifugation. In this study, 56 rats (Rattus norvegicus) naturally infected with both Aspiculuris tetraptera and Syphacia muris were used. The animals were randomly divided into the treatment (37 animals) and control (19 animals) groups. Moxidectin (Cydectin enj., %1 Moxidectin) at 0.2 mg/kgbw was given subcutaneously to the treatment group. The faeces of both groups were examined on days 0, 7, 14, 21, 28. A deficiency in the slow moving gamma globulin in an eight-month-old emaciated female Awassi sheep is described. Analysis of serum protein electrophoresis (SPE) on cellulose acetate of this sheep revealed the presence of three fractions only; albumin (alb), a and b compared with that of the normal sheep which showed four fractions (alb, a and b and g).This finding occurred in a ewe which belonged to a closed breeding system awassi flock. Faecai specimens from 172 diarrhoeic and 130 healthy cattle were examined for the presence of Crytosporidium spp., Eschricia coli K99 and Rotavirus in Ankara, Turkey. The prevalence of the Crytosporidium spp. infection in diarrhoeic and non-dierrhoeic cattle was 63.3% and 69.2%, respectively. Crytosporidium positive faecal specimens were examined for the presence of E. coli K99 and Rotavirus. E. coli K99 was isolated from the feaces of 35 diarrhoeic (32.1%) and 23 healthy (25.5%) animals. Rotavirus was not detected in any of feacal samples. In vitro drug sensitivities indicated that E. coli K99 was sensitive to Nalidixic acid in both diarrhoeic …

A case of adenoma on the right kidney was described in a 17 years old, German Shepherd male dog. Macroscopically, Sclerotic kidney had a mass which was 0.4x0.8 cm in size and gray-white in colour. Microscopically, lesions showed typical morphology of renal adenoma.

In this study, the presence of Listeria species in various meat products obtained from different meat markets in Elazığ city was studied. For this purpose 100 minced meat, 80 poultry meat, 80 sausage and 70 chopped meat samples were analysed. The samples were incubated at 30°C for 48 hours and 7 days respectively using two different enrichment methods. These incubations were performed for enrichment of potantial Listeria species in the samples which were inoculated onto Listeria Selective Agar Base (LSA), McBride Agar (MBA) and Modified McBride Agar (MMBA) media. This investigation has been done the effect of various cemen paste mixtures on the microbiological quality of pastrami. The pastramies which were prepared experimentally have been mixed with the various cemen pastes and the effects of these mix-tures on the microbiological quality of pastramies were investigated on the 1st, 7th, 15th, 30th and 60th days. This study was made to investigate the structure of the ovaries of adult Brown bears which were brought to the Wildlife Research Centre (WRC) in Bursa. Ovaries obtained by laparoscopic surgery method, were divided into two pieces and fixated in buffered formalin. The 10-15 µ cryostat sections were stained with Oilred O stain method. The 5-7 µ sections cut from paraffin blocks stained with Crossmon's triple stain, Gomori's silver stain, Pinkus' orcein-giema stain and Mc Manus' periodic acide schiff (PAS) technique. The seperation of transferrin types were carried out using teh horizontal starch-jel electrophoresis. the frequencies of transferrin alleles were determined 0.0801+-0.019,0.195+-0.018 and 0.004+-0.003 for TfA, TfB and TfC, respectively. Differences between expected number and observed number for transferrin genotypes were nonsignificant.

The present study was planned to investigate the effects of two different concentrations (10 and 40 mg/kg) of monensin, carboxylic ionophore antibiotic, on the ECG and the serum Na + and K + concentrations of rabbits. Fifteen male rabbits, about 2 kg and 1 year old, were used. ECGs were recorded by a direct writing electrocardiograph.
