Ganglion cysts arising from joints or tendons are commonly seen in our daily work as physiatrists, but those originating from muscles have been infrequently reported. In this casereport, we present a patient with a ganglion cyst arising from the fascia of the fourth lumbrical muscle in an occupational therapist, which has never been reported before. The lumbrical muscles of the hand vary greatly from other intrinsic muscles, because of their distinctive structure and function. A ganglion cyst that arises from the lumbrical muscle is supposed to affect the precise movement of the occupational therapist's hand. As a result, the early …
