Factors Associated With Food Choice Motivations Among Urban High School Students In Indonesia, Syarifah Aqilah, Anuchit Phanumartwiwath, Nutta Taneepanichskul

Background: This study aimed to examine what reasons motivated urban high school students to choose certain foods, and to identify factors associated with food choice motivations.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from April to May 2020 in Depok, Indonesia. A total of 433 high school students in grades 10–12 were recruited. Food choice motivations were identified using a questionnaire, and defined using exploratory factor analysis. Possible factors associated with motivations were evaluated using multiple linear regression.

Consumers are interested in colored rice because its health benefits and its high fiber and protein content. Normally, the colored rice smell is generally not as strong as the jasmine rice. The first objective of this research was to investigate the proper preheated time and headspace incubation temperature to extract as many volatile compounds as possible from Thai-colored rice using the static headspace GC-MS approach. However, the effects of long-term supplementation on general biological parameters in healthy adults is still insufficient. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of 12-week astaxanthin supplementation on blood glucose, lipid profile and hematological parameters in healthy volunteers. The purposes of this study were to establish a database of the carbohydrate content of medications and investigate carbohydrate content of medications in epileptic children treated with ketogenic diet (KD) at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. One hundred sixty-nine KD order forms in 3 events (KD initiation, follow-up visit, and hospital re-admission) for epileptic children whose aged younger than 18 years old during 2009-2017 were selected. Clinical and nutritional data were obtained from medical records and KD order forms from the pediatric nutrition unit. This study was conducted to investigate the antioxidant and antimutagenic activity of Zanthoxylum limonella seed extract and that of Z. limonella pericarp extract. The total phenolic contents and antioxidant activity assay including DPPH assay and FRAP assay were performed. The results showed that the antioxidant activity of pericarp extract was higher than that of the seed extract. The direct mutagenicity assay was determined, with and without nitrite treatment using the Ames test towards Salmonella typhimurium strains TA98 and TA100. The objectives of this observational descriptive cross-sectional study were to determine the prevalences of depression and metabolic syndrome and to examine the relationship between depression and metabolic syndrome and dietary pattern in working age people in Bangkok. The samples were 446 participants (123 males and 323 females) aged 20 and over who received an annual health examination 2017. The metabolic syndrome was defined by NCEP ATP III criteria.
