This was a quasi-experimental study designed to determine the difference in blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels of subjects post-myocardial infarction (post-MI) who practiced the high fiber-high carbohydrate diet and subjects post-MI who did not practice the diet. The researcher had hypothesized that when the blood levels of cholesterol and triglycerides of post-MI subjects who were practicing the high fiber-high carbohydrate diet were compared to those who were not practicing the d i e t , there would be no significant difference.
