Background: In Kentucky public schools, occupational therapists are employed as classified staff without access to educator credential pathways. This study explores occupational therapist’s perceptions of how those state-level structures impact recognition, collaboration, leadership, and day-to-day practice within the educational system context. Purpose: This qualitative descriptive study examines school-based occupational therapists’ perceptions of how the absence of educator credential pathways influences their professional practice, collaboration, and leadership in Kentucky public schools. Background and Objectives: The COVID-19 pandemic dramatically altered the format of residency recruitment, leading to the widespread adoption of virtual interviews, followed by the adoption of preference signaling. This study examines how the structure of the 2023-2024 interview season influenced family medicine residency program directors' intentions for future interview formats and their preferences regarding the number of preference signals.
Methods: A Council of Academic Family Medicine Educational Research Alliance survey, including demographic questions, was distributed to all family medicine residency program directors in the United States in spring 2024. COVID-19 closed colleges and forced faculty and students to learn a new way of teaching and learning. Like most institutions, Marshall University’s College of Education and Professional Development struggled to provide the practicum experience required for teacher preparation when most public schools shifted to remote learning. This qualitative study investigated the reactions of, and ongoing impact on, a university’s college of education’s administrators, faculty, undergraduates, the institution’s instructional designers, and the Counseling Center’s director when the campus closed spring of 2020 due to the pandemic. This mixed-methods study examined factors contributing to technostress among Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Education students enrolled in a fully online program. Guided by the Technostress Trifecta Model, the study explored the relationships among age, grade point average (GPA), years of nursing experience, and self-rated technical skills, as well as students’ perceptions of technology use in learning.
Data were collected from 94 participants using the Technostress Scale by Upadhyaya and Vrinda (2021). Quantitative analyses showed that self-rated technical skill was significantly associated with lower perceived technological complexity, while age was significantly associated with both techno-invasion and techno-uncertainty. Background: Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) are registered nurses specifically trained to perform forensic examinations and provide medical and emotional support to sexual assault victims. Many nursing programs lack formal education on SANE practices, which can hinder students' preparedness to address such cases in their future careers.

Context
Immersive clinical experiences (ICEs) were integrated into athletic training education to enhance student learning. However, their structure and effect remain poorly understood.
Objective
To highlight the lack of research on ICEs and the need for data-driven improvements in athletic training education.
Background
Since the transition to graduate-level education, ICEs have been required to provide students with uninterrupted exposure to professional practice. Despite this requirement, little evidence exists regarding their effectiveness or best implementation practices.

This study explored the benefits of nature-based pediatric occupational therapy (OT) and the influence of nature and nature-based play on fine motor development. It was hypothesized that nature and nature-based play would positively impact a child’s fine motor skills (FMS) and that nature-based OT would offer unique benefits to a child’s therapeutic experience. To examine these relationships, a survey was distributed to pediatric occupational therapists (OTs) across the United States. Using classroom displacement and pandemic pivoting during COVID as a touchstone, author presents ways in which museums complement and reinforce pedagogical goals in honors. Community and campus museums offer immediate and innovative teaching opportunities that require minimal technology, present diverse viewpoints and cultural perspectives, and foster visual and cultural literacies. Observing the demand for interdisciplinary experiential learning opportunities post-COVID, authors present a place-based curriculum in honors. Workshop-style special topics classes provide students with an immersive and flexible learning environment, energize faculty, and engage alumni and community partners. Coursework, fieldwork, internships, and study abroad opportunities all contribute to the development of an informed and engaged citizenry. With the rise in overdose and problematic drug use in the United States, it is crucial to develop competent human service practitioners in addiction treatment and recovery settings. This qualitative study explores the virtual abstinence experience of distance learning human services students, using Mezirow’s transformative learning theory to examine how a 21-day experiential abstinence prompts critical reflection and perspective transformation. The study investigates the socio-emotional and physiological factors influencing participants' progress toward sobriety, including cravings, withdrawal, isolation, and relapse triggers. Pilots are obliged to accurately assess a situation that poses a risk to flight safety and take the necessary corrective action. The theoretical knowledge in flight training is essential to accomplish this. The objective of the study is to ascertain the retention rate of the human performance (HP) course and to determine the necessity of refresher training. Sixteen questions were prepared for pre- and post-tests about the atmosphere, hypoxia and hyperventilation, barotrauma, and spatial disorientation. This essay presents the creation and maintenance of a campus meditation garden as an outgrowth of four successive philosophy classes in honors. The authors describe the garden’s inception, execution, curricular advantages, and administration, with specific examples of the impact on student health and well-being. The authors observe the ways in which honors students attained skills in transformational leadership by collaborating to develop projects and lead events, suggesting that a meditation garden may be appropriate for any learning environment emphasizing cooperation, creativity, mindfulness, and well-being.

[Introduction] Program and institutional coordinators in graduate medical education (GME) have very complex jobs that are often highly pressured and demanding, requiring a diverse skill set to manage effectively. While these positions can be immensely gratifying, the demands and pressures inherent in the roles pose threats to job satisfaction as well as risks to mental health and well-being. A national survey of 6372 coordinators found that 20.4% reported being dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with work, and 27.9% reported being likely or very likely to leave their job in the next year. ¹ Of the coordinators surveyed 36.3% screened positive for …

This study employed a convergent parallel mixed-methods design to explore the perceptions and experiences of occupational therapy (OT) fieldwork educators, academic fieldwork coordinators (AFWCs), and Level II OT students with disabilities regarding accommodations during fieldwork. Quantitative data were collected through an online Qualtrics questionnaire completed by 45 fieldwork educators. Qualitative data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with seven AFWCs and seven OT students/new graduates who had used Section 504 accommodations during Level II fieldwork. Thematic analysis revealed key themes among students and AFWCs, including barriers to disclosure, variability in support and communication, the need for proactive planning, and concerns regarding …

Students Obtaining Tools to Achieve Regulation (SOAR) is a doctoral capstone project that addressed the need for integrated social emotional learning (SEL) in elementary education. SEL is an evidence-based approach shown to improve academic outcomes, behavior, and long-term life success, yet implementation barriers remain in school settings. This project aimed to enhance student regulation, classroom engagement, and teacher confidence in SEL techniques through a multi-tiered approach. A scoping review of SEL literature identified the implementation methods and barriers to SEL curricula in elementary education, which informed the development of SOAR. W.O.R.K. Towards Inclusivity in Employment was a doctoral capstone project focused on promoting sustainable employment for neurodiverse individuals. Despite their capabilities, neurodivergent individuals often face barriers to employment due to employers’ misconceptions about their abilities (Bonaccio et al., 2020). This project addressed these challenges through three main components: researching employers’ perspectives, curriculum revision, and educating employers. For research, Luzerne and Lackawanna county employers were surveyed to assess their training, resources, and perspectives on neurodiversity in the workplace. Background:
Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among women and the third leading cause of cancer-related mortality in Morocco. In October 2022, the Ministry of Health introduced the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine into the national immunization program. This study aimed to assess knowledge, satisfaction, and acceptability regarding HPV infection and vaccination among Moroccan medical students.
Methods:
A cross-sectional study was conducted between September 2021 and July 2022 among fifth-year and higher medical students from all nine Moroccan medical universities. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed descriptively and analytically.

Unemployment and underemployment remain persistent barriers for autistic and developmentally disabled individuals, with up to 75% of autistic adults in the United States experiencing difficulty obtaining or maintaining meaningful work. To address this disparity within school-based transition services, this capstone project evaluated the effectiveness of video modeling as an instructional method for vocational skill acquisition among seven young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities (DD).
