Boonshoft School of Medicine Oral History Project
This is the first in a series of interviews with Dr. John O. Lindower, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and the first Chairer [sic] of the Department of Pharmacology in the Wright State University School of Medicine. In this first interview, Dr. Lindower discusses his background prior to coming to Wright State University, his initial appointment within the School of Medicine, the development of the initial curriculum of the School of Medicine, and the early development of the Department of Pharmacology of the School of Medicine.

Dean Sawyer first discusses his first impressions of the university and the School of Medicine, then moves into a discussion of his first priorities as Dean. This is the second in a series of interviews with Dr. Edward J. Spanier, former Assistant Director of Health Affairs Planning and former Assistant Dean for Administration in the Wright State University School of Medicine. He served as Assistant Vice President for Financial Services, and Treasurer of Wright State University.
In the first part of this interview, Dr. Spanier continues his discussion of the planning process for the School of Medicine, and the approval of that plan. Dr. Spanier relates his reactions to key events in the process of gaining legislative approval for the School of Medicine.

This item is part of the Annual Reports and Resolutions subtitle of the ADA Transactions, a serial publication of the annual activities of the ADA House of Delegates (HOD)/Board of Trustees (BOT) made up of three separate subtitles: Annual Reports and Resolutions, Supplements, and Transactions. Generally, the ADA Transactions are published in multiple volumes throughout the year. Older versions include reports from all departments as subsections, while more recent versions include only those of councils, commissions, and committees.
