Contributions To The Pediciidae (Diptera) Fauna Of Turkey With Six New Records, Okan Özgül, Hasan Koç

This study was carried out to contribute to the Pediciidae (Diptera) fauna in Afyonkarahisar, Balıkesir, Bilecik, Bursa, Çanakkale, Eskişehir, Kırklareli, Kütahya, Kocaeli, Sakarya, and Uşak provinces of Turkey between 2008 and 2014. It was reported that 12 pediciid species belonging to 4 genera have been recorded in Turkey. Six of these species were recorded for the first time for the Turkish Pediciidae fauna. These species are Dicranota (Paradicranota) flammatra Stary, 1981; Dicranota (Paradicranota) fuscipennis Lackschewitz, 1940; Dicronata (Paradicronata) landrocki Czizek, 1931; Dicranota (Paradicranota) schistacea Lackschewitz, 1940; Dicronata (Paradicronata) subtilis Loew, 1871; and Tricyphona (Tricyphona) unicolor (Schummel, 1829). In this study species of Tetrastichinae from Kırıkkale and Çankırı are identified. Samples were picked from plants between June and August of 2010-2012. Fruit Flies (Diptera: Tephritidae) Fauna In Nevşehir And Niğdeprovinces With A New Record From Turkey, Mehmet Yaran, Murat Kütük

This study was based on fruit flies collected from Nevşehir and Niğde provinces in spring and summer of 2012-2013 in Turkey. During the study, samples were collected from host plants randomly or systematically by using an insect net. In the study, 59 species belonging to 17 genera from 4 subfamilies have been determined, and Urophora trinervii (Korneyev and White, 1996) has been recorded for the first time in Turkey. In addition, adult figures of the new record and wing figures of all species are given.

A new harvestman species of the genus Mediostoma Kratochvíl, 1958, Mediostoma izmirica sp. nov., is described and illustrated based on males and females from İzmir Province, Turkey. Differences between the new species and other species of the genus Mediostoma are indicated. Scanning electron microscope photographs of its characteristic structures are also given.

This study reports records of camel spiders from the NE and NW of Iran: Galeodes bacillatus (♂♀), Galeodes caspius (♂♀), Gylippus (Hemigylippus) lamelliger (♀), Rhagodes melanochaetus (♀), Rhagodes aureus (♂), Karschia persica (♀), and Karschia mastigofera (♂). Of these, K. mastigofera is recorded for the first time from Iran.

This study is based upon material of the subfamily Agathidinae collected from different localities in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey from 1988 to 2008. The study resulted in the recording for the Turkish fauna of 14 species belonging to 3 genera (Agathis Latreille, 1804; Bassus Fabricius, 1804; and Disophrys Förster, 1862) within the subfamily Agathidinae. This present contribution is based upon the ichneumonids collected from the northeastern Anatolian part of Turkey in 2014. A total of 57 species belonging to subfamilies Acaenitinae, Anomaloninae, Banchinae, Campopleginae, Cremastinae, Cryptinae, Diplazontinae, Ichneumoninae, Metopiinae, Orthocentrinae, Oxytorinae, Pimplinae, and Tryphoninae have been recorded. The focus of this study is to provide the faunistic, ecological, and zoogeographical status of Staphylininae (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) fauna of the Central Anatolian Region of Turkey. The study material comprises specimens collected from field studies between 2009 and 2012 and also specimens that were previously collected by other researchers. In total, 90 taxa of 26 genera belonging to 3 tribes of Staphylininae were recorded. Ninety-five limoniid taxa have been reported to occur in Turkey. This study, conducted from June 2008 to April 2011, was aimed at describing the Limoniidae (Diptera) fauna in the Marmara region of Turkey. Twenty-three Limoniidae taxa were recorded for the first time for the Turkish fauna. These species are: Crypteria (s. In this study, fourteen species and subspecies in six genera of the family Chrysididae are listed from Hormozgan Province of Iran. Among them, Hedychridium femoratum (Dahlbom, 1854); Hedychridium virescens (du Buysson, 1908); Hedychridium verhoeffi Linsenmaier, 1959; Holopyga arabica Linsenmaier, 1994; Holopyga vicissituda Linsenmaier, 1994; Spintharina dubai Bohart, 1987; S. İntegerrima (Klug, 1845); Trichrysis scioensis (Gribodo, 1879); and T. Longispina (Mocsáry, 1912) are recorded for the first time from Iran. Geographical distributions of all the species and morphological diagnostic characteristics of the newly recorded species are briefly discussed.
