First Records Of The Genus Paratrombium Bruyant, 1910(Acari: Trombidiidae) From Turkey, Sevgi̇ Sevsay, Evren Buğa, Sezai̇ Adi̇l, İbrahi̇m Karakurt

Turkish Journal of Zoology

The genus Paratrombium Bruyant (Acari: Trombidiidae) is recorded from Turkey for the first time based on collections of P. insulare (Berlese, 1910) and P. megalochirum (Berlese, 1910). Each species is illustrated, and briefly redescribed with accompanying drawings. Larvae of both species were obtained by experimental rearing. The updated distribution of species is provided.

Two New Records For Turkish Geometridae (Lepidoptera) Fauna From Ordu Province, Mustafa Özdemi̇r

In this study, a group of specimens from the family Geometridae preserved in the Nazife Tuatay Plant Protection Museum is examined. The specimens were originally collected from Ordu, Turkey. As a result of this work, two new records for the Geometridae fauna of Turkey, namely Asthena anseraria (Herrich-Schaffer, [1855]) and Eupithecia selinata Herrich-Schaeffer, 1861 are given. Adult and genitalia figures of the species are presented.

A Taxonomic Study On The Families Lecanidae And Lepadellidae (Rotifera: Monogononta) Of Turkey And Three New Records For Turkish Inland Waters, Ahmet Bozkurt

In this study, 39 rotifer species from the families Lecanidae and Lepadellidae were identified after examination of samples collected from 47 different localities in Turkey. Lecane acanthinula, L. thalera, and L. unguitata are new records for the Turkish rotifer fauna.

Three species of springtails were identified as new records for Iranian fauna from Ilam Province, western Iran: Hemisotoma quadrioculatus (Martynova, 1967), Isotoma anglicana Lubbock, 1862 (Isotomidae), and Metaphorura riozoi Castaño-Meneses, Palacios- Vargas & Traser, 2000 (Tullbergiidae). Brief information for each species about material examined, ecology, illustrations, and distribution is given.

Spatial And Temporal Variations Of Soft Bottom Polychaetes Of Sinop Peninsula(Southern Black Sea) With New Records, Güley Kurt Şahi̇n, Ertan Dağli, Murat Sezgi̇n

The soft bottom polychaete community was examined seasonally at eight stations between August 2009 and July 2010. A total of 76 species belonging to 27 families were identified in the Sinop Peninsula (southern Black Sea), of which 23 species are new records for the Black Sea fauna and 7 species for the Black Sea coast of Turkey. Syllidae was the best represented family in the research area and contributed 15.78% of the total fauna. A Review Of The Tribe Pimplini Wesmael, 1845 (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae,Pimplinae) From The Carpathians, With New Records For Romania And Ukraine, Oleksandr Varga

The tribe Pimplini from the Carpathians is reviewed. Itoplectis insignis Perkins, Pimpla arctica Zetterstedt, P. illecebrator (Villers), and Theronia laevigata (Tschek) are new records for Ukraine. Pimpla murinanae Fahringer is a new record for Ukraine and Romania. The high-altitude zone distribution of the Pimplini in the Ukrainian Carpathians is discussed.

This study aims to elucidate the Collembola fauna of the province of Ordu, which is situated between the Middle and Eastern Black Sea regions of Turkey. Although a large number of Collembolan specimens had been collected, only Entomobryomorpha species were given emphasis. From 44 different sampled localities of the province of Ordu, we recorded 6 families, 14 genera, and 28 species. Six of these species were previously recorded and 20 of them are new records for Turkey. This study was carried out on a young European Shag (Phalacrocorax aristotelis) caught in the sea in Akçay, Balıkesir, in August 2015. The lice collected from the European Shag were put into 70% alcohol solution and were mounted to slides with Canada balsam after being made transparent in 10% potassium hydroxide. The lice Eidmanniella pellucida and Pectinopygus brevicornis were determined as a result of the microscopic examination of the 54 louse specimens. Zerconid Mites (Acari, Zerconidae) In İstanbul,With Four New Records For The Turkish Fauna, Eli̇f Hi̇lal Duran, Raşi̇t Urhan

The zerconid mites collected from İstanbul Province between January 2012 and September 2013 are evaluated and the following species are recorded: Prozercon balıkesirensis, P. buraki, P. carpathofimbriatus, P. demirsoyi, P. fimbriatus, P. satapliae, P. sultani, P. traegardhi, P. yavuzi, Zercon colligans, Z. cretensis, Z. inonuensis, Z. istanbulensis, Z. laczii, Z. lepurus, Z. marinae, and Z. nemoralis. Of these, P. carpathofimbriatus, Z. cretensis, Z. laczii, and Z. marinae are recorded for the first time from Turkey.
