This study was carried out on the genus Glyptholaspis in Kelkit Valley, Turkey, during 2007-2012. Three species, G. americana (Berlese, 1888), G. confusa (Foa, 1900), and G. saprophila Masan, 2003, were recorded from Kelkit Valley. G. americana has been previously recorded from Turkey; G. confusa and G. saprophila are first records for the Turkish fauna. The male of G. saprophila is described for the first time in this study. Original drawings for all known species of the genus from Kelkit Valley are included. Additionally, an identification key to the Turkish species of Glyptholaspis is given here.

Some New Records And One New Species Of The Genus Lebertia Neuman (Acari: Hydrachnidia: Lebertiidae) From Turkey, Yunus Esen, Orhan Erman

In this study, water mites of the genus Lebertia Neuman, 1880 (Acari: Hydrachnidia) collected from Antalya, Artvin, Bingöl, Erzurum, Kahramanmaraş, and Siirt provinces of Turkey are presented. In total, 12 species were determined. Of these, Lebertia (s. Str.) marasensis sp. Nov. İs described as new to science, while L. (s. Str.) rufipes Koenike, 1902; L. (Pilolebertia) longiseta Bader, 1955; L. (Pilolebertia) pilosa Maglio, 1924; L. (Mixolebertia) separata Lundblad, 1930; and L. (Brentalebertia) minutipalpis K. Viets, 1920 are new records for the Turkish fauna.

Contributions To The Genus Platystoma (Diptera: Platystomatidae) Fauna Of Turkey With Seven New Records, Seda Mesci̇, Abdullah Hasbenli̇

This study evaluated specimens belonging to the genus Platystoma collected from different provinces in Turkey between 1992 and 2007 and currently deposited at the Zoology Museum of Gazi University (ZMGU); 12 species and 2 subspecies belonging to this genus were identified. The species P. Dimidiatum (Hendel, 1913), P. Tegularium (Loew, 1859), P. Gemmationis (Rondani, 1869), P. Chrysotoxum (Hendel, 1913), P. Pubescens (Loew, 1845), P. Plantationis (Rondani, 1869), and P. Subtile bezzii (Hendel, 1913) have been recorded in Turkey for the first time. Wing pictures and distribution maps of the discovered species are given.

A survey was conducted from 2012 to 2013 in order to study the Alysiinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) species of the southeastern part of Iran. A total of 11 species belonging to 5 genera have been listed, of which 4 species, Dinotrema contracticorne (Fischer 1974), Synaldis ultima Fischer 1970, Chorebus parvungula (Thomson 1895), and Dacnusa abdita (Haliday 1839), are reported for the first time from Iran. In addition, the male of Chorebus longiarticulis Fischer, Lashkari Bod, Rakhshani and Talebi 2011 is recorded for the first time and described.

This survey was carried out on the genus Macrocheles in Kelkit Valley, Turkey, during 2007-2012. Seven species, M. Muscaedomesticae (Scopoli, 1772); M. Glaber (Müller, 1860); M. Perglaber Filipponi and Pegazzano, 1962; M. Scutatus (Berlese, 1904); M. Merdarius (Berlese, 1889); M. Subbadius (Berlese, 1904); and M. Robustulus (Berlese, 1904), were recorded from the valley. M. Perglaber, M. Scutatus, and M. Subbadius are first records for the Turkish fauna. Original drawings and diagnoses for all known species of the genus from the valley are included. In addition, an identification key to the Turkish species of Macrocheles is provided here.

Morphological features of Prozercon bulbiferus Ujvari, 2011 and Prozercon graecus Ujvari, 2011, which are new records for the Turkish fauna, are given with drawings. Deutonymph members of P. Bulbiferus are described and illustrated for the first time. Information about habitat and distribution for each species is also provided. Additionally, a key to species of the genus Prozercon known from Turkey is given. Both species are found in the Thrace region of Turkey.

The census of shallow-water sponges from the northern Aegean and Marmara sea coasts resulted in the collection of 10 species of Demospongiae. A new Hymedesmia species, Hymedesmia (Hymedesmia) anatoliensis sp. Nov., is described from the western coast of Turkey. Three further species of demosponges, Axinyssa aurantiaca (Schmidt, 1864), Halichondria (Halichondria) contorta (Sarà, 1961), and Dictyonella incisa (Schmidt, 1880), are new to the sponge fauna of Turkey.

Abacoproeces topcui sp. Nov. (Araneae: Linyphiidae) is described based on male specimens from Mersin Province in Turkey. Four species, namely Araeoncus tauricus Gnelitsa, 2005; Erigonoplus globipes (L. Koch, 1872); Megalepthyphantes pseudocollinus Saaristo, 1997; and Styloctetor romanus (O. P.-Cambridge, 1872), belonging to this family are new records for the spider fauna of Turkey. Styloctetor Simon, 1884 has been recorded as a new genus for Turkey. Data on collected localities, distribution throughout the world, and genitalia figures of each species are presented.

Reedbeds can be characterized as forming a transition between the aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. They have distinctive animals adapted to living in aqueous conditions. Because of the lack of data on the mite fauna in marsh habitats of Turkey, this faunistic study was conducted in the Ekşisu Marshes, which resulted in collecting and determining 58 species and 36 genera belonging to 29 families. Of these, Stigmaeus sphagneti (Hull), Neothrombium neglectum (Bruyant), Podothrombium macrocarpum Berlese, Johnstoniana eximia (Berlese), Calyptostomata velutinus (Müller), Heminothrus humicola (Forsslund), Astegistes pilosus (Koch), Achipteria coleoptrata (Linnaeus), and Lauritzenia elegans (Kunst) are new records for the Turkish fauna. …

The water bears (Tardigrada) from Colombia are rather poorly known; thus, the aim of this research was to study the composition of tardigrade fauna inhabiting epiphytic and rock mosses in a high Andean forest in Guatavita. A 25-m2 plot was delimited and 6 randomly chosen trees with epiphytic mosses were sampled. Twelve samples of epiphytic mosses and 6 of rock mosses were collected and examined. Forty-seven species belonging to 7 genera of Alticini are presented based on the investigations conducted on Davraz Mountain (Isparta). Host plant relationships of 24 species established from the area are listed. Brassicaceae, Scrophulariaceae, and Lamiaceae seem to be the most preferred host plant families among others. Three species from the genus Longitarsus Berthold - namely L. baeticus Leonardi, 1979; L. foudrasi Weise, 1893; and L. tabidus (Fabricius, 1775) - were sampled only from 1900 m and above on the mountain. The study was carried out in order to determine the species of the superorder Neuropterida in the Protected Area Jasen, Central Macedonia. In July 2011, insect net sampling was used to obtain the Neuropterida from various habitats in the area. A total of 44 species from 10 families were determined, and 17 of these species were new records for the Macedonian fauna. Notes on ecology and altitudinal distribution of the Neuropterida in the area are also provided.

From the serial studies of the Braconidae fauna of Turkey, the subfamily Doryctinae was treated. Adult specimens were collected from various habitats of Turkey between 1979 and 2013. In total, 58 species belonging 25 genera were reported for the studied region, among which 52 species were recorded for the first time from Turkey. Investigation On The Inquilines (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae, Synergini) Of Oak Galls From Inner Western Anatolia, Turkey, Yusuf Katilmiş, Musa Azmaz

In this study carried out on specimens collected in inner western Anatolia, 13 species belonging to Synergus were recorded. Eight species were recorded for the first time from Turkey. Due to the associated oak galls, the highest number (6 species) were observed inside the galls of Aphelonyx persica. Data about host oaks, emergence time of adults, and associated oak galls are given.

This study was carried out to determinate the Tachinidae fauna of Sakarya Province in 2012 and 2013. Tachinids were collected in the region by sweeping with nets from various plants. As a result of this study, 7 genera and 8 species belonging to the subfamily of Exoristinae, 5 genera and 5 species belonging to the subfamily of Tachininae, 2 genera and 2 species belonging to the subfamily of Dexiinae, and 4 genera and 6 species belonging to the subfamily of Phasiinae were found. In this study, specimens were collected from different cities in Turkey during the years 1992-2006. Seven species of 4 genera belonging to Otitinae (Diptera: Ulidiidae) were identified. Four species [Dorycera caucasica Hendel, 1910; Ceroxys urticae (Linnaeus, 1758); Herina lugubris (Meigen, 1826); and Otites formosa (Panzer, 1798)] are new records for the Turkish fauna. The distributions of these species are mapped. In addition, wing photographs of species given in this study are provided.

The present study was carried out to determine the occurrence and distribution of the kleptoparasitic bee genus Sphecodes Latreille (Hymenoptera: Halictidae) of Turkey. The material comprises samples collected from various parts of Turkey since the 1960s and certain private collections in Europe. The examination of the material and an overview of the published sources allowed us to reach the conclusion that Sphecodes of Turkey is represented by 33 species. Abrolophus balkanicus sp. Nov. İs described and illustrated from larvae collected in Montenegro. Abrolophus stanislavae (Haitlinger) and A. Wratislaviensis (Haitlinger) are redescribed. New metric data for A. Podorasensis (Haitlinger) are given. A. Podorasensis is new to the fauna of Montenegro and A. Stanislavae is new to the fauna of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Within the context of this study, conducted in 2007 and 2008, 64 species of the genera Allohelea Kieffer, Alluaudomyia Kieffer, Atrichopogon Kieffer, Bezzia Kieffer, Brachypogon Kieffer, Culicoides Latreille, Dasyhelea Kieffer, Forcipomyia Meigen, Leptoconops Skuse, Palpomyia Meigen, and Stilobezzia Kieffer were reported in the Central Black Sea Region of Turkey. Among them, three genera (Allohelea, Alluaudomyia, and Brachypogon) and 26 species are new to the country's fauna.
