According to % GSI and egg diameter, reproduction periot of M. cephalus was determined to be on September and October mounth. Minimum % GSI obtained for M. cephalus was % 4.14 on June mounth and maximum % GSI was % 20.08 on July and % 17.26 on October. Avarage egg diameter of M. cephalus ranged between minimum 0.15 and maximum 0.69 mm. The egg diameters on September and October are 0.69 and 0.65 mm. .

Observations On The Reproduction And Feeding Biology Of Lacerta Laevis (Sauria: Lacertidae) Gray, 1838, Kurtuluş Olgun

In this study, the feeding behaviours of the new hatched eggs which were laid to the terrarium by one of the 18 Lacerta laevis samples collected from Mersin (Fındıkpınarı) were observed and the development of these eggs over 103 days period were investigated. In conclusion the number of the eggs laid by one of the lizards were six, the mean size of eggs were 8.03 x 12.25 mm. and the mean body length of the young, that were hatched after 47 days, was 77.77 mm. at the first day and was 89.14 mm. at the end of 56 th day.

In this study that has been verified at the Eğirdir environs, Helix lucorum which is one of the edible terrestrial snail species in Turkey, and a standard method of collecting snail samples for consumption were investigated. In the area of study, it was observed that individuals begin to reproduce at the second week of February and that they are spawninig during March-May when the climate is mild. It was also determined that the minimum shell length of individuals is 22 mm, and that shell diameter is 31 mm, and that weight is 10 g which were measured during reproducing period. …
