The Growth And Yield Of Aspen [Populus Tremuloides] In Saskatchewan, C. L. Kirby, W. S. Bailey, J. G. Gilmour

This report is a summary of all studies carried out by the Saskatchewan Forestry Branch in hardwood stands. Aspen, the principal component of the hardwood stands, is the most abundant tree species by both volume and area in Saskatchewan and is most difficult to analyze. This report presents conclusions from which further studies can be conducted. It is hoped that in the future closer correlation with site-types may be made as it is difficult and probably not desirable to make further generalization on a province-wide basis.
