Thierry’s series of eight large-scale paintings were inspired by her rediscovery of the “Water Lilies” landscapes by Claude Monet on view at the the Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris. Monterey County Water Resources Agency Water Reports

A study conducted for Monterey County under County Professional Agreement 14-714, in response to Referral No. 2014.01. Prepared by Brown and Caldwell under the oversight of Monterey County Water Resources Agency, this report addresses the effects of prolonged drought by considering likely changes in groundwater head elevations, groundwater storage, and seawater intrusion. Some steps are offered that might help alleviate the consequences of further depleting groundwater storage. They study area is MCWRA Benefit Zone 2C which largely straddles the Salinas River in Monterey County. The following eight chapters consist of communications from the U.S. Government consisting of instructions in the event Mexico declared war, justification of and motives for war, various reports to Washington, communications with Mexican officials in Alta California, accounts of the military operations in California, the articles of capitulation entered into at Rancho of Cowanga on January 13, 1847, all of which are interspersed with personal observations and comments by the author.
