The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been one of the world’s most contentious issues for more than half a century, and Jerusalem is at its center. Though frequently treated as one subject of dispute between Israelis and Palestinians, “Jerusalem” actually comprises a complex set of legal, political, and social issues. This Article examines one of them, the issue of housing in East Jerusalem, with a particular focus on whether some of the housing policies in that area violate international law.
