Most organizations provide their employees the Microsoft Office Tools Suite with Excel. The University of Arkansas Master of Science in Operations Management (MSOM) Program has included Excel as a foundational aspect of the program for the last 7 years. In that time, Microsoft has increased the Excel capabilities dramatically. Simultaneously, business intelligence analytics interest has increased, and Tableau has been created as a visual analytics platform to help users see and understand data for modern business intelligence.
