Research On Control Technology Of Aeroengine Heat Exchanger, Qingyang Jiang, Song Hua Dec 2019

Research On Control Technology Of Aeroengine Heat Exchanger, Qingyang Jiang, Song Hua

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: In order to solve the high temperature problem caused by the high speed of the synergistic aspirating engine, this paper designs a control algorithm for the heat exchanger. In the process of designing the control algorithm, considering the strong nonlinearity, uncertainty and strong coupling of the engine, The decoupling study of the multi-input and multi-output linear model of the heat exchanger is carried out. The decoupling effect of two different decoupling methods on the strongly coupled heat exchanger is obtained. The fuzzy decoupling PID controller has short adjustment time and overshoot. Small, conclusions with better decoupling effects.

Meeting 2030 Primary Energy And Economic Growth Goals Mission Impossible, Matthew K. Heun, Paul E. Brockway Oct 2019

Meeting 2030 Primary Energy And Economic Growth Goals Mission Impossible, Matthew K. Heun, Paul E. Brockway

University Faculty Publications and Creative Works

To meet climate change mitigation objectives, international institutions have adopted targets aimed at reducing or ending growth of primary energy consumption. Simultaneously, continued economic growth is forecasted to meet human development goals. Together, declining energy consumption and rising gross domestic product (GDP)is called “absolute decoupling.” However, absolute decoupling is unprecedented for the world economy as a whole (since at least 1971). Is absolute decoupling “Mission impossible?” Given the high stakes, we need a clearer understanding of the extent of future energy–GDP decoupling. To gain that understanding, we perform societal exergy analyses using a novel Physical Supply Use Table framework to …

Impact Of Secondary Reactive Species On The Apparent Decoupling Of Poly(Ethylene Glycol) Diacrylate Hydrogel Average Mesh Size And Modulus, Dany J. Munoz Pinto, S. Samavedi, B. Grigoryan, M. S. Hahn Apr 2019

Impact Of Secondary Reactive Species On The Apparent Decoupling Of Poly(Ethylene Glycol) Diacrylate Hydrogel Average Mesh Size And Modulus, Dany J. Munoz Pinto, S. Samavedi, B. Grigoryan, M. S. Hahn

Dany J. Munoz Pinto

Poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) hydrogels are widely used in biotechnology due to their in situ crosslinking capacity and tunable physical properties. However, as with all single component hydrogels, the modulus of PEGDA networks cannot be tailored independently of mesh size. This interdependence places significant limitations on their use for defined, 3D cell-microenvironment studies and for certain controlled release applications. The incorporation of secondary reactive species (SRS) into PEGDA hydrogels has previously been shown to allow the identification of up to 6 PEGDA hydrogel formulations for which distinct moduli can be obtained at consistent average mesh size (or vice versa). However, …

Hydration Of Binary Portland Cement Blends Containing Silica Fume: A Decoupling Method To Estimate Degrees Of Hydration And Pozzolanic Reaction, Wenyu Liao, Xiao Sun, Aditya Kumar, Hongfang Sun, Hongyan Ma Apr 2019

Hydration Of Binary Portland Cement Blends Containing Silica Fume: A Decoupling Method To Estimate Degrees Of Hydration And Pozzolanic Reaction, Wenyu Liao, Xiao Sun, Aditya Kumar, Hongfang Sun, Hongyan Ma

Materials Science and Engineering Faculty Research & Creative Works

Determination of degrees of hydration/reaction of components of blended cementitious systems (i. e., cement and SCMs: supplementary cementitious materials) is essential to estimate the systems' properties. Although the best methods for determining degrees of reaction of different SCMs have been recommended by RILEM TC238, they rely on either expensive equipment (e.g., nuclear magnetic resonance) or time-consuming sample preparation and data processing (e.g., backscattered electron image analysis). Furthermore, these methods cannot simultaneously characterize degree of hydration of cement and degree of reaction of SCMs. A novel decoupling method, which can simultaneously estimate the degree of hydration of cement and the degree …

Improved Model Reference Adaptive And Its Application In Grinding Process, Zhou Ying, Chen Yang, Bin Yue Jan 2019

Improved Model Reference Adaptive And Its Application In Grinding Process, Zhou Ying, Chen Yang, Bin Yue

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: Aiming at the characteristics between a ball mill and a grader during the grinding process such as multi variable, strong-coupling and parameter time variation, after decoupling the mathematical model, a model reference adaptive control (MRAC) method for online automatic gain adjustment by differential evolution algorithm is proposed. Due to return sand and water supply and other factors bringing uncertainty to the controlled object model, it needs to adjust constantly adaptation gain online through the differential evolution so as to overcome the effects of parameter variations in mine operation process and various kinds of interference to system. Simulation results show …
