n many imaging systems, the detector array is not sufficiently dense to adequately sample the scene with the desired field of view. This is particularly true for many infrared focal plane arrays. Thus, the resulting images may be severely aliased. This paper examines a technique for estimating a high-resolution image, with reduced aliasing, from a sequence of undersampled frames. Several approaches to this problem have been investigated previously. However, in this paper a maximum a posteriori (MAP) framework for jointly estimating image registration parameters and the high-resolution image is presented. This paper presents a real time front-end admission control scheme for ATM networks. A call management scheme which uses the burstiness associated with traffic sources in a heterogeneous ATM environment to effect dynamic assignment of bandwidth is presented. In the proposed scheme, call acceptance is based on an on-line evaluation of the upper bound on cell loss probability which is derived from the estimated distribution of the number of calls arriving. This paper evaluates the error probability of the rectangular frequency pulse multi-h modulation (MHPM) scheme in slowly-fading, frequency-nonselective or frequency-selective Rician and Rayleigh channels. The evaluation is performed with a method combining analysis and computer simulation. Performance degradations are evaluated for various direct-to-reflected signal ratio, Doppler shifts, and relative time delays in Rician fading channels. Compared with minimum shift keying (MSK), MHPM schemes appear to have retained their coding gains
